Skipton is an historic Market Town and is known as the "Gateway to the Dales".
The town boasts a range of traditional shops, restaurants and bars and the Leeds to Liverpool canal with its lovely towpath, wharf and the famous Skipton Castle.
Skipton is an ideal location to base yourself to explore the Dales with most attractions being 30 to 45 minutes drive from Skipton.
The bus station is located approx. 7 minutes walk from the property and has links to Leeds, Harrogate and Manchester and the surrounding villages. The mainline train station is also approximately 15 minutes walk away with connections to Leeds (London), Settle, and Lancaster.
