The facility was wonderful with easy access to the beach, pool and restaurant. Loved that there’s a Starbucks on the lobby with a small shop to purchase immediate necessities. My family and I will now have this hotel in mind every time we want to visit south padre!

This is our second year to stay at this property. This year our room and the beach chairs weren’t as well taken care of in the years past, but it was still ok. The convenience of proximity to the beach as well as food options and a pool that gets shaded late in the day made it a great choice for us.

The entire hotel smelled like eggs and Sulfur from the time you enter the lobby. We had to ask to change rooms because there was construction going on in the next room until 11 PM. They didn’t even tell us that there was gonna be construction and the entire hallway. They moved us to a tiny room on the other side where the sink smells like sewer.

As a Hilton Honors member, I’ve never had such a terrible experience before. There truly is a first for everything. 1. Arrival was 6:30- 3:30 hours passed check in. My room was still not ready. We did get another room available. 2. Elevators were not working, notice was placed on one elevator and had only one functional all weekend 3. Friday stocked fridge with food/Snacks for my 8 year old daughter. After pool closed 11pm - went back got ready bath time/Bed time and as I made a snack for her, the food, drinks, cut fruit were hot. Fridge was not working and I lost all the groceries I purchased! 4. We drove to get fast food, kid was starving! Came back my husband let the from desk know. The hospitality was unbelievably bad. Michelle was at the counter, she was so rude at this point it’s well passed midnight and she said, “well I can send maintenance to the room, I’ll make sure he knocks loud since it’s late not sure what time he will make it”. My husband was so upset and said ma’am we just lost all sour groceries and had to drive to get a meal for ourselves. We are tired and ready for bed, do you mind scheduling something for 12 pm (Saturday). He asked to speak with manager, and no manager available at night only morning. We went about our day Saturday- no fridge, no call back from manager… Check our Sunday still no fridge, no manager and they would not even honor a late check out for us after all the trouble. I would appreciate a call back!

First thing I noticed nobody was at the entrance Nobody greeting either at the entrance or front desk My guest forgot a pool dress it was never recovered There was no luggage carts, so we have to walk all the way around the lobby n elevator area and that halls to our rooms with no help at all.

The AC was loud and noisy then we had to be moved to another room that was not equivalent to our original room. The second room we were moved to had also issues with the AC and refrigerator making loud noises. We spoke to the manager but would not be able to move us later an we had already made plans to wait for two hours. That’s another issue I had called four times in increments of thirty minutes and a different reception in the front desk said someone would be there in ten minutes finally after two hours. Someone finally came to take a look who in my opinion was not a certified AC technician because all he did was bang on the AC. I shared my concerns with the manager wearing a A border t- shirt from the restaurant from the hotel and didn’t really have much to say. Don’t get me wrong most rooms have working ACs if your lucky but some need to be updated.
