River house has a loving and welcoming vibe! Love nature? Enjoy incredible sunsets from River house's upper level , a backyard that stretches forever into fields and woods. Stretch out in the sand, take a swim or climb the broad ledges of rocks on any of three nearby beaches. Beautiful Arcadia national park makes for a good day trip. Want to experience coastal seafood? It's minutes away in any direction from fine restaurants to great little carry-outs like the Owls Head General Store and the owner's favorite Rockland's Rock City Cafe. Like adventure? Book a ride on a schooner. Take a Rockport Harbor cruise. Take a ferry and spend an afternoon on a variety of islands. Visit Marshall Point lighthouse and see where Tom Hanks ended his run in the movie Forrest Gump. Climb Mount Batty for an incredible view of the Gulf of Maine. Like art? Visit the Farnsworth museum and experience the art of the Wyeth family or the many art shops lining Rockland's main street. Fabulous property!!!
The property was close to everything and so comfortable. We had two couples but could comfortably sleep more. All three bathrooms had large showers and were roomy. Beds were very comfortable. Would stay again in a minute and recommend highly.

More than we expected!
This property was perfect for our group of six adults. Plenty of space, every couple had their own bathroom and personal space. Perfect gathering areas, everything there that we could have ever wanted!

Very clean beautiful home
We loved our stay here. House is very clean and well stocked. We had one minor issue due to Mother Nature but owner was VERY responsive and quick to address the issue. Owner showed up at the house late at night and early next morning to make sure everything was ok. Super friendly. Good location from Portland and Bar Harbor. Would stay here again. Highly recommend.

I would just suggest something to make the driveway. It’s kind of hidden and traffic comes fast down that road!! Overall the place was amazing and we loved it!
