Not sure where to start. We had very rude staff, the whole place needs some investment as its very outdated. No fridge in the room and we experienced a domestic situation in the corridor at 1am which the hotel did not handle, it went on for over an hour. Appeared to be a pillow shortage and carpets need a good clean or replacing.

Absolutely appalling , the room was dirty toenails all over the floor, the rooms are very outdated, the restaurant was terrible food was very expensive and not good enough the service was shocking and every night I had to wait for an hour before I could order food so the kitchen could catch up with orders

There was an issue at the hotel where the sprinkler system was activated due to a fellow guest. The staff handled if very well in the circumstances. Recommend staying here and we will be staying again. Five star service…

Attending the Goodwood Revival in a classic car, I chose Leon Valley Hotel for it's location (35min from Goodwood), Price, restaurant onsite and parking. From satellite view, the is a HUGE carpark. Perfect right? WRONG. Turns out the hotel has a deal with a cruise ship provider and cruise passengers can leave their car at the hotel while on a cruise. Consequently, there was no parking. There were hundreds of cars parked, as far as the eye could see. After being seated in the restaurant for dinner, provided with dinner menus and instructions on how to order, we proceeded to the bar to order food and drinks. The maitre d asked if we would mind waiting 30min before ordering in order for kitchen staff to take orders from "pre-paid" customers. Turns out these customers were part of the cruise ship passengers (all inclusive deal). We were happy to wait, but after 30min when we tried to order dinner, we were told that the restaurant would not be taking any food orders due to the kitchen being too busy with "pre-paid" customer's orders. There are no nearby food alternatives due to the location of the restaurant. We didn't want to drive our classic car to find another restaurant in case we lost our precious parking spot. I made it quite clear that the situation was unacceptable and after some discussion, the Maitre d agreed to take our food order. The restaurant is open for dinner from 5pm to 9pm. At 8:40pm the following evening, the kitchen was closed.

This place is pretend posh. Stayed in a suite that had cobwebs in the doorways and wasn’t serviced. Pretty sure that the pie of the day was supermarket bought and the frozen chips are massively overcooked. The “gym” is not included in the price and parking is a nightmare. Golf course looked decent though.

Awful over priced hotel experience
Blood stained sheets, view from our room was a house keeping dumping ground. Limited two meal option buffet of bland food. Unhelpful lazy staff standing around on their phones. Topped off with rude customer service when I emailed them with the issues we experienced. No apologies and blamed us for the blood on the sheets. 1 star experience in a so called 4 star luxury hotel. Save your money and book a Premier Inn for a vastly better experience. Complaint has been escalated to the hotel group head office. But not expecting a much better response from this awful company.

Overall a good hotel
Used Meon valley for a weekend away to see family and friends in the area the hotel is alittle but dated in its decor but we have no issues with the cleanliness and what was offered. We both found the bed to really comfy and the ammenities supllied were up to par. Beautiful surroundings and veiws and very quiet a great stay.

Hotel needs renovating in all areas. Staff need training as attitude appalling. Had water running down from above room at 4.50am; no one answered at reception and gave up after 40mins of trying to contact. Reception was supposed to be 24hr but no one there or they were asleep in office! Ended up sleeping on sofa and using towels to mop up water. Eventually told receptionist at 8am and she couldn’t have cared less. We had a suite but stains on carpet and desk was covered in scratches and tea marks. Lift (only one in building) stopped working prev night with no idea when it would be fixed. Breakfast served in small room; food Luke warm and not very appetising. Table was wobbly and no one there to clean them down. This is definitely not a luxury hotel with exceptional service! Avoid at all costs.
