Bugs, Sagging Ceilings, and Holes in the Walls... oh my!
Our check in was Friday night and as soon as we pulled up, we instantly noticed the over grown grass in the back and side yards. Walking into the house we noticed the giant gap between the door frame and front door where we could see daylight coming in once inside. The only issue we had at that point was the overgrown yard as we have a small dog and it's already a snake risk. Coming home from dinner the first night we found a large, half dead cockroach. We've been to the beach multiple times so we understand that bugs are a part of staying at the coast and didn't think anything of it. Our second day was fine, minus the overgrown grass which we were told wouldn't be mowed until Thursday, after our checkout. Sunday is where it took a turn for the worst. We came back from the beach around lunch and noticed a small bug on the master bedroom windowsill. Looking closer we realized it was a yellow jacket. After vacuuming the one yellow jacket up, we noticed another one next to it on the floor. And then entering the master
bath we noticed at least 8 more, some alive, some dying. I called vacasa and they said they'd reach out to the local office, which I knew would take a long time given I called them Friday, was told an on call member would call shortly, and the local team on call reached out after hours on Sunday. I called the number from the local office that had called me earlier that day about the grass and told the woman, Gloria, what was going on and that we would appreciate
