Come stay at 5th Avenue Suites for a sweet stay downtown! This cozy basement unit has in unit washer and dryer in addition to the full kitchen! There’s a small balcony off the living room and cable as well! There are 2 bedrooms with closets for your use and we are located right of the freeway. There is potential for noise but it is also very ideal to get anywhere in the Spokane/CDA area in just a short trip! We are just a couple blocks from the downtown night life and both major hospitals as well as a 10 minute drive to the airport!*Queen air mattress available to make the unit sleep 5* set up to sleep 3 in bedrooms and 1 on couch so let me know if you have a 5th person and need the air mattress please when you book!

Close to town
The suite was easy to locate and close to the downtown area. The description was not wrong when saying it could be a bit noisy. Coming from a small town the freeway noise was loud to me. Having never stayed in a VRBO, before I wasnt sure what to expect. Although the space was cute, and clean, I was surprised to discover not even a small amount of coffee was provided. I was somewhat unsettled because there was bedding in the dryer with condensation visible on the dryer door. I also discovered there was wet bedding and towels in the washer. The dishes were clean, but still in the dishwasher. We weren't sure if there was an expectation we take care of these things. We stayed in the basement suite. The first night the people above us did laundry after 10 pm and walked around wearing non-soft soled shoes both nights late into the evening. We wondered if quiet our expectations were communicated to guests. Although these were small annoyances, we would stay here again if the opportunity arose.

Quick trip to Spokane
The hostess, Cassidy was great! She was very attentive and accommodating through the booking process and during our stay. My wife and I had business in Spokane to to attend to and needed to bring our cat as well. Upon our arrival, the apartment was clean, but had a few broken items that Cassidy was receptive to emails sent during our stay. The apartment is a perfect place for a very short term stay, for the homelessness around the apartment is quite apparent as camps were plentiful nearby. We never felt unsafe, but I am not sure I would wander around on the street at night. The freeway noise is also quite loud and since the apartment is so close to the freeway itself, it was most apparent during morning and evening commuting. The apartment is close to downtown as well as the local hospitals. The kitchen had a few cooking utensils, some pots, a frying pan as well as plates, miss-matched cups and silverware. The stove and microwave were functional but we were close enough to a market and restaurants it wasn't an issue for us. The apartment had a washer and dryer on site, which is a plus too. Check in/check out was simple enough. The parking is on the street, and plentiful as well. The noise could be an issue for many, but for the few days we were there, we made it work for us.

Freeway noise very loud
The heaters in each room worked well. Unit is a bit shabby, but clean. Unit is part of an older house, very noisy. Can hear neighbors entering/leaving and freeway sounds. Kitchen is modestly equipped. Best suited for short stays and limited cooking. Plus points, the Unit had washer/dryer and dishwasher. Given the price point, about what one would expect.

Fabulous Location near Deaconess
“Basement” on a steep hill, so the back patio is 10’ off the ground. Easy walk to grocery store and bakery. Comfortable bed, hot shower. But the dishwasher had issues, and dishes were dirty, but this got fixed during my stay. Will likely stay here again, especially if I need to be near Deaconess, or even Scared Heart.
