Steps to the beach! KAYAKS! Minutes to WEEKI WACHEE.

This old Florida neighborhood, on its own island, is a rarity in the sunshine state - surrounded by water and nature - it truly feels like it is away from it all (but a short drive to Orlando and Tampa and surrounding towns)! While most of Florida is being taken over by concrete and highways, this gem has been untouched!

Our sweet coastal cottage is located right next to sunset beach, a non public beach. Often you’ll have the beach to yourself or possibly share a seat on the sunset bench with one of the locals and hear their story as you watch the sun go down. The sunsets are AMAZING!

The drive in takes you back in time! A small two lane road surrounded by palm trees, water and marshes inspires a window down, tunes blasting kind of moment.

Our two bedroom, two bathroom cottage was designed to encourage rest and relaxation! A cozy L-shape couch faces the big bay window and gulf facing gallery. If you need a break from bird watching, kayaking the gulf ( we have two kayaks for you too), or beach combing, we have a smart TV and high-speed internet available for working remotely or catching up on some Netflix.

The kitchen is fully stocked with your cooking equipment and utensils so you never have to leave and miss a sunset (yes you can even enjoy the sunset from the kitchen/dining room). We even added a high top table against the bay window so you can sit in the AC while feeling a part of nature.

Ample outdoor space to get your nature fix! A big gallery off of the living room, lower level complete with a picnic bench, full size propane grill, Adirondack chairs, outdoor dining table and an extra lot (bring your lawn games!) and of course the sandy beach steps from the property. Need to get some exercise in while you are here while enjoying the natural beauty - we have you covered! We have supplied two kayaks that can be launched from our beach or around the corner at the neighborhood boat launch.

Please note that this is Pine Island, Florida 34607 located northwest of the Tampa and Orlando Airports, the Island affords you lots of space, privacy and proximity to Disney World, Tampa and many other beautiful Florida cities and attractions. More importantly, you would also have the entire property to yourself for peace of mind and separation from the people and crowded hotels, restaurants and beaches that you just can’t avoid in the larger Florida tourist cities and areas.

What to do while you are here?

- Just relax?

- Enjoy the fantastic sunset from the deck and porch or from the private beach just 90 feet away.

- Read a book and enjoy the peace and quiet from the deck while marveling at the Gulf of Mexico.

-Spy on dolphins playing right in front of you just from your private beach.

-Enjoy the local wildlife: Watch the sunset over the water and be ready to see Sandhill cranes (Grus canadensis), snowy egret, the American white ibis, etc.

-Spread out: There are plenty of small waterfront restaurants, fresh seafood shops, quiet beaches and malls with nationally known shops, restaurants and groceries less than 15 minutes away by car.

- Go crabbing and fishing! (red fish, snook, cobia, tarpon, grouper)

- Go scalloping! - season: July - September

- Go kayaking!

- Go paddling down the pristine waterway of the Weeki Wachee River. 6 miles away

- Go to Disney, have fun but then escape the crowds back to the beach house.

- Pro Sports and minor league baseball abound in Tampa, Orlando, Clearwater, etc.

- Go to the park: Walk 5 minutes and enjoy the Alfred McKethan / Pine Island Park, which includes a beautiful beach and swimming area, picnic tables, shelters, barbecue grills, observation points a volleyball court, new playground and a nice beach restaurant named "Willy’s Tropical Breeze". The park is free all day for walk-ins and only costs 5.00 to park all day for those who drive and come from outer areas. No need to pay to park as you are just a few minutes walk away.

- Go up the river: The Weeki Wachee River has an average flow rate of 112 million gallons of crystal clear spring water per day, year round water temperatures ranging from 72F to 84F, and frequent manatee visitors. - Go to Weeki Wachee Springs State park- is an enchanted spring where you can see live mermaids, take a trip on a river boat cruise, learn about Florida wildlife, and swim in the pristine waters at Buccaneer Bay. More about the house:

. - The under-side area of the stilt house is painted, open and clean for gathering and relaxation. It’s perfect to escape the direct sun but also enjoy the ocean breeze during the day. Huge picnic table, cooler, extra table and chairs, grill (propane), Adirondack chairs, two kayaks, beach chairs and more!

- The entire property is two lots wide as you can see from the photos, so both large lots are yours to enjoy. - The house is fully decorated and furnished with the comforts of home.
- This is a stilt house so you will need to climb one flight of steps to access the main level of the house.
- Child security gate (lockable) located at the top of stairs.
- Fully remodeled interior with a full kitchen, full dining space, large living area, 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a beautiful gulf-view deck.
- One bedroom has a king size bed.
- The other bedroom has a bunk bed set and another twin
- 2 x wall-mounted Smart TV’s (50”, 30”).
- Stacked clothes washer and dryer
. - Spectrum high speed internet service.
- Fast and reliable Wi-Fi to keep you connected.

Note: our neighbor two lots over is slowly building a beach house on vertical stilts in phases.

Perfect beach getaway
This house is just perfect. Very clean and very well stocked. I couldn't believe how many nice towels and wash cloths were there. The house is just steps away from a very private beach. We probably only saw 5 people the whole time we stayed there. The showers were nice and the air conditioning worked great. The property owners were great to communicate with and the price was right. 10/10. I highly recommend this property.

The location was wonderful!
I husband and I stayed for a week. The house was great we loved the location and the view of the gulf was beautiful. We saw dolphins on two separate occasions. We also saw sting rays, blue crabs, horseshoe crabs, hermit crabs and several different types of fish. All of these were seen right outside the house we stayed at. The beach was very private and we hardly had to share it with anyone else. There is a public park at the end of the island that was very busy most of the time we were there but looked like it would be fun for kids. The house is also close to Weeki Wachee river we kayaked on this and we were able to see manatees. The spring is also very clear and has some great spots on it. There is also Weeki Wachee state park very close where you can watch the mermaid show and enjoy a river boat tour. We did have a problem with one of the kayaks at the house we went out on them the second day we were there and one of them sank. It was not a fun time getting back to shore but we made it. The hosts were great about responding and offered to rent us a kayak. We really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back again!

Wonderful little beach house
The house and location was wonderful. Just steps from a private little beach where the kids loved seeing crabs and the water was calm and shallow in the little cove, perfect for exploring and swimming when the tide came in. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. 10/10, definitely recommend!

Much needed relaxation
It was so nice to stay somewhere that’s still old Florida. The home was perfect, extremely comfortable and had everything I could need. Neighbors were very friendly. Only a very short walk to the private beach. My family stayed on the river but came by us to enjoy the gulf and fish. The kayaks are a great addition. We can’t wait to come back. This has to be one of my favorite VRBO stays.

Perfect Paradise
The house was very nicely renovated with an open floor plan with large kitchen, dining and living area for both entertaining and relaxing. The patio area below the house has lots of space for all your equipment & toys for boating, beaching and lounging. Property includes 2 great kayaks, grill and tables and chairs for dining down stairs. The location is perfect for a quite paradise setting on a private-style island peninsula with quick and easy access to the open Gulf of Mexico(very important to watch the tides). There is a very nice private beach at the end of the street for swimming and viewing beautiful sunsets along with a much larger public beach and snack bar at the end of the peninsula. Truly a Perfect Paradise - We called it "Kings Paradise"!!!

Cozy home with spectacular sunset views!
Check in was seamless and super easy. Property was very clean! Host was friendly and always helpful, (even when answering my dumb questions.) This stay has awesome ocean views, and the beach is literally steps away. We went kayaking on the ocean and saw all sorts of marine life, including a sting ray! Groceries and restaurants are only about 15 minutes away, which is a huge plus. This is stay is perfect for sunsets with coffee, going to Tampa for a day trip, catching up on quality time, and just relaxing near the warm and clear gulf waters.

Perfect weekend getaway!
Beautifully decorated and clean on the inside. Private beach just a few steps away. Owners that are incredibly fast to respond. Little extras like beach chairs and a cooler and kayaks and extra towels. The bed is super comfy with excellent quality sheets. Instacart delivers. Sunsets to die for. Even if there are storms and rain, it's beautiful! You can walk out in the water for the longest way before it gets deep. Everything about this place is perfect! This was our second time on Pine Island and we can't wait to go back again.

Perfect Getaway.
This was the perfect getaway. We wanted a quite private place to relax with a beach and a front porch to hang out on for our 24th anniversary and we got what we wanted. There’s no beach when the tide is in but that only last a few hours at a time. The owners were awesome with any concerns that came up. My only regret was not taking a fishing rod to see what I could catch. The sunsets and the visits from 2 Dolphins every evening was so beautiful and amazing. If your wanting to just get away from it all and relax this is the place to go. Will definitely be back soon.
