Great stay
Lovely stay at the hotel. Helpful kind welcome staff on reception. Lots of space in our junior suite. Lovely gym. Had a lovely meal in the evening and were impressed with the standard. The staff were lovely and accommodating with the kids. The grounds could do we a tidy up to be able to use the outdoor tables and pergola etc. The breakfast was nice but we arrived at 9.20 and felt like it was the end of breakfast although it said there was breakfast till 10. We wouldn’t want to waste food but it would have been nice to been offered to get anything that had run out such as bacon pastries etc but we had to ask for this, only a small thing but would have made us few more welcome for breakfast etc. overall we had a lovely stay and would come back.

It was the location and the mention of a meadow to walk our dog which was why we booked. However, there were a few things that could have been done better to have made our visit more enjoyable. Upon arrival there was no meet & greet from the young gentleman on reception. Didn’t even get a ‘hello’ or ‘enjoy your stay’. There was no introduction to what they offered whether we could have a drink or something to eat etc. the room was basic but great to have been given a king size bed. Found broken bits of glass on floor various water / liquid stains on walls and the bathroom needed some maintenance carried out around the shower tray and wooden frame works. You also needed a compass and a piece of string to find your way to and from your room as it was a warren of corridors.

Redbourn trip gone wrong
The hotel refused to honour my booking charge as per your website as I didn't bring printed confirmation. Also there was a noisy air con machine outside our windows thar disturbed our sleep. Tea provisions in the room were very poor but we were too tired to complain,

24 hour check in was great. Not very clean and the shelves in the bathroom was very dusty, it was a twin room. Duvets on the beds are very thin, I asked for an extra one, but all they had was sheets. The buffet style breakfast, was cold & flies were landing on the bread. Price was really good £125, but my friend and i was there less that 24 hours. We requested a local taxi to go to a festival at The National Bowl. Turns out it was a black cab and by the time we noticed the fare of £65, we asked to get out, (even though, we was still around 20 minutes away from our destination), it would of eventually cost us well over £100. We jumped out and rang an uber, from a local Harvester, which cost £17. There was one young staff member called Henry, who went out of his way to get us hot water so we could have a cuppa before leaving. When the front deck tried to say, we was not allowed. Don't think i would stay there again. Our room was facing the bins outside. Not a nice view at all. This hotel was tucked away, quite in a lovely setting

Very nice place to stay
Third time here. I visit a house music festival in Bushey and use this hotel. It's quiet, the rooms are well appointed, and i always get a good nights sleep after a full day of dancing like a loon.

This place needs needs a revamp it’s very run down since the last time we stayed a few years ago, the curtains had tears in the lining, there was a baby’s dummy under the bed so obs hadn’t been cleaned very well, WiFi was shocking worked for about 30secs then gave up, every footstep the people in the room above took could be heard and this woke us up in the morning!

Not the best
Overall this was a below average hotel. The receptionist had denied our booking numerous times, despite me showing her the details on my hotel.com app and multiple emails confirming our stay. She was unwilling/unable to seek further help from upper management regarding our booking, instead asking us to return later to speak with someone senior. On pressing the issue further, she finally found the booking, and then asked us to pay for the rooms, despite showing our emails confirming payment and showing our receipts. The entire check in process was unnecessarily difficult and the lack of professionalism at the front desk was shocking. The rooms themselves felt dirty, cramped and there was an odd smell in the room. I wouldn't stay here again

Beware no bus service to Hemel Hempstead
Not bad my only gripe ,I was tod by a member on the phone that the bus service stops just outside the hotel, which was one of the reasons for booking Aubrey park. This was not the case both bus stops ,saying not in use, so i feel some one at the hotel should have researched this as we may not have booked the hotel

Booked as attending a wedding locally. When we Arrived there was plenty of parking. Gardens nice but it looks tired. Check in very quick and efficient. Room on the small size but had all we needed. Clean and quiet. The bed was really comfy and we had a good nights sleep. The bar had good range of drinks, tired decoration but again clean and spacious. Not a lot of staff and the bar was mainly unmanned and you had to go back to reception to get someone to come and make a drink but staff all friendly. The drinks are on the expensive side but to be expected for location. Breakfast was disappointing. when we arrived for breakfast at 9.30am there wasn’t any hot breakfast left and we had to wait for 20 mins and it came out in bits and pieces and was really greasy so we couldn’t eat it. So felt a lot of money for tea and toast!

Not so easy to find your room as it's split at different levels. Quite outdated hotel, would do with some renovation, randomly alarm was set off for no reason. In room only tea and coffee no water. Very basic content in room and bathroom. Doors to bathroom did not close fully. Staff hard to find if you want to order from the bar and looks like they are not sure what they are doing.

Dirty and Moth Infested
Booked here for 2 nights and checked out 1 day early as carpets are crawling with moths around the edges. The gym was even worse with moths and big spider webs around the corners. The place needs spraying with insecticide and the cleaners need to learn how to clean properly. I moved rooms once as i complained but the second room was just the same with moths in the carpet and flying around the room. I literally killed 10 in one night and 2 big daddy long legs. There were dead flies on both rooms bathroom ceiling for some reason. The corridors to the rooms smelt damp and the floors were visibally stained. The staff offered to move me again as i left early but the thought of staying there any longer made my skin crawl plus i didnt want to risk bringing any bugs home with me. I kept my suitcase zipped up all night just incase. The bed was not comfy at all either. Credit where credit is due, the breakfast was quite nice, alrhough the breakfast room needs brightning up a little tho as its painted very dark. Cant believe this place cost over £120 a night with breakfast! Would not stay here again.

This was a nice property, but it’s very outdated, and quite worn out. However, does offer a quiet, and comfortable(ish) bed. I definitely wouldn’t stay here longer than a night, but wasn’t too bad. For example, bits of the carpet were missing, my showerhead was broken, there were cobwebs and dust which clearly hadn’t been cleaned. The TV is something from 2000s.
