This property was under complete renovation. Restaurant on property was closed. The lighting on the property at night was sparse. Booked into an occupied room upon arrival. Huge open hole in the bathroom wall where an access panel should’ve been. We waited 15 minutes when checking out and no one ever showed up so we left the room key on the counter at customer service. We Booked a $30 shuttle to down town Saint Augustine that never showed up and after waiting 45 minutes we just left. Beware booking this hotel. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews. This is the worst hotel experience I’ve had in years. If Orbitz would’ve had a disclaimer stating the condition of this hotel I would’ve not booked it especially for $117.

This is going to be a lovely hotel... in a few months. For now, it's been bought and is under construction. I booked an overnight stay for four; hoping to enjoy some of the amenities. The restaurant is closed; luckily there are plenty of local options. I thought one friend would enjoy the fitness room. Closed. We can hit the sauna after a long drive. Closed. Let me check the pool... outside. Too cold (yes, it was November). How about the hot tub? Scalding hot... dangerous actually. The front desk clerk said to see the manager in the morning. Of course, he "wasn't in yet" by the time we had to leave. I booked this place specifically based on the website and ability to simply park and relax after a long day. Oh yeah... they also charged me for parking. Had I not anywhere to go, I would have waited for to discuss things with the manager. Do yourself a favor and call them to see what's actually "open" before you book here.

Quiet Hotel with Beach Access
Beautiful hotel. The restaurant, sauna, and fitness room were under construction when we were there. But the rooms were quiet. The outdoor pool and hot tub looked great and the beach is just down the street. The hotel was quiet. The staff was nice too. The only odd thing was that our room’s lamps were bright white harsh bulbs instead of the soft warm yellow bulbs you usually get. That was a surprise, but overall the start was very pleasant and it’s perfectly situated on St. Augustine beach and just 15 minutes from the historic district.

The hotel is beautiful has a lot of potential, is under renovation and that could be inconvenient, the real issue was that the key machine was broken so we didn’t have a room key so an employee from front desk had to open our door every time we came back to our room

Be aware that the property is undergoing extensive renovations to become a Hilton Tapestry. Our first room, the door would not lock and there is a drop off from the entrance area and the room that is a trip hazard. The desk clerk was very nice & accommodating; however, there is a skeleton crew operating the hotel and a lot of unfinished areas in the rooms.

“Under construction” but a lot of stuff needs work and attention, according to front desk. Hidden fee for daily parking upon check-in, $10. Asked night staff for some towels (he understood) and got stack of floor mats. Water wasn’t that hot at all, but they said the showers were brand new.

This lady at the front desk I don’t remember her name but a very sweet (African American woman) is the absolute best. Please keep her and I will always book here. The hotel is wonderful, I will definitely return.

Terrible hotel, would not recommend! We arrived with friends, and it was an absolute disaster from the start. It quickly became clear that this hotel is not worth the money. 1. Cleanliness is a total disappointment. As soon as we entered the room, we could immediately smell stale air. The bed linen was covered in dust, and there were visible stains on the mattress. It was obvious that someone had stayed there before us and not much had been cleaned. The blankets and pillows smelled musty, and even after we requested a change of sheets, it didn’t improve the situation. 2. The bathroom is a nightmare. The bathroom was full of hair — on the floor, in the sink, and in the shower. It looked like no cleaning had been done. The plumbing was old and filthy, the faucet barely worked, and the shower had only lukewarm water. It felt like we were in a rundown hostel, not a hotel. 3. No light in part of the room. There was no light in part of the room. We tried asking the front desk about it, but that only made things worse. The dark corner of the room was completely unusable because it was pitch black. 4. Front desk — rude and unhelpful. When we complained about the lack of cleaning and the issues with the room, the front desk staff responded in an incredibly rude and dismissive manner. They told us that it was “normal” for their hotel and that nothing would be done about it. This is how they treat paying guests. Overall, it was a complete failure

The fact that customers have to pay for parking in the hotel parking that’s not even gated is quite ridiculous. I’ve been staying at hotels every year on vacations for 20 years now and have never heard of hotels charging for parking. Also when checking in, it would be nice to be greeted with an employee that makes you feel welcome and not like you’re in court paying for a citation of some sort. Employees like that will push customers away. This stay was not worth the cost. Room was clean. Shower was better than most. A bath tub would have been nice. Breakfast was not available as advertised.
