A Wonderful Experience
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Historic Inn. It started with the warm greeting and consideration from the young gentleman at reception. I walk with a cane and upon seeing that, he asked if I would prefer a room on the main level. I was extremely grateful. To our disbelieve and pleasure, he then escorted us to our room. He went in first to make sure that everything was ok. Everything was perfect. We loved the retro feel of the Inn. You just don't get great customer service like that anymore. I'd highly recommend the Inn to anyone who wants to experience something unique. You won't be disappointed!

You can see that the owners have spent time updating the rooms, furnishings and properties. They were responsive to our every need. Very good location and you could walk across the Loins Bridge to the historic city.

The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable with plenty of big pillows. There are many dining options next door. There isn't an ice machine or vending. Also, one roll of toilet paper wasn't enough for two nights. Overall, it was comfortable and quiet!

I was looking for a very basic place to lay my head at night and this fit the bill. It's an older motor lodge, freshly painted inside and out, and was immaculate. The owner was attentive and carried my bags to my second-floor room. The shower had good pressure and was hot. It was priced substantially below the usual suspects like Holiday Inn Express, Hilton Garden Inn, and of course the higher-end hotels. I would stay here again.

Definitely recommend for a sweet deal in St. Aug!
We loved this room and the location! Super close to all the action yet removed enough from most of the chaos so it worked well for us. A number of restaurants within a short walk. Reasonably priced room, clean, nice towels, comfy bed. The curtains and blinds kept our privacy nicely. The ac worked. The staff/owners were very nice. We really had no complaints other than a tight parking lot...but it is St. Augustine.

I don’t understand how this property got so many excellent reviews! it was not good to say the least. The water pressure in the shower was like an old lady spitting on you. I couldn’t rinse the shampoo out of my hair. There were a lot of bugs in the room as well. When I first checked in, I was in a hurry, so I got undressed to get in the shower and realized there was no iron or ironing board in the room. I wanted to iron my shirt for the night. The very nice man who runs the place told me to call if I needed anything, but I wasn’t gonna get dressed again to wait for an iron and ironing board. They should always be in every hotel room! Now let’s talk about the TV. They have Roku TV and cable. However, I couldn’t figure out how to work the cable. It was very complicated and convoluted. So I didn’t watch TV. The blackout curtains really didn’t work, and I was kept awake not only by the light in my room, but the horrible noise on the street. Granted they can’t be blamed for the noise, but it was extremely noisy with large trucks going by all night. I should’ve realized when I saw it was a two star hotel that it was gonna be a problem evening, but foolishly I paid attention to the reviews. I wonder if they are even real reviews. if they had been there overnight, I would’ve asked for my money back and left. That’s how bad it was.

Our St Augustine 2 day trip
Are room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. It was convenient to town we walked over the bridge of Lions instead of taking the car, the walk took us about 15 minutes to get to the center. It was much better than looking for somewhere to park. Also I noticed some people took a ride back to their hotels from the taxi bike riders with the seats on the back. The staff was very friendly I definitely recommend this hotel.

Basic, but awesome except…
This is a lovely no-frills motel, clean as a whistle & pleasantly appointed. The location is just a brief walk to the Bridge of Lions & downtown. Staff is friendly & attentive. But this is my 2nd stay & both times had issues with the tv. It’s a very complicated process with at least 10-12 steps to set up any local, network or cable programming. The volume is also a mystery. During both stays staff was very quick, but also unable to figure out their own tv. If the tv is not important to you, this lil’ motel is a sweet stay & I highly recommend for quick stays
