Room was not clean. Moisture in the air. Mold on the wall, lamp shade, and in bathroom. Dirty socks under the bed. Candy wrappers in the drawer. Door to the bathroom stuck almost trapping us inside. Floor was filthy, turning our clean feet black!

I’m from the generation that only wants to sleep in a bed for the night, not make a mortgage payment for the hotel. In this respect the Quality Inn in St. Augustine beach is great. It is very affordable. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and it was quiet. However, the later may be more related to a Tuesday to Saturday stay as the lot was pretty empty until late Friday. The breakfast was OK and the staff was polite, respectful, and responsive. The owners have done a respectable job of trying to modernize but, it is still an old structure with rust & corrosion on things like the bathroom door handle trim and around the bottom of the door frames. The water pressure in the shower left a lot to be desired and the shower valve was a little funky. Would I stay again? Might not be my first choice but I would probably consider it if the alternatives were $125 + per night.

This place is affordable considering the area. They even have shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion stocked in the bathroom. On maps it looks like its a block away from the beach so i assumed i could just walk there, however when i arrived i saw that theres a private complex across the road that blocks access- you have to walk 4 miles around. Housekeeping was rude, but the staff at the desk and others were nice/friendly. Housekeeping often blocked your way and gave you nasty looks when you tried to maneuver around them, even if you apologized to them for "getting in their way". The coffee there was SO bad, im not even that particular about coffee and often love "bad hotel" coffee, but the brand they use is a sorry excuse for coffee- wish i brought my own coffee maker after i tried theirs. The internet was slow, my phones wifi & hotspot was so much faster. Their TVs are not smart TVs, so i just got a HDMI to USB cable to watch from my phone on the TV instead. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were absolutely perfect. My bathrooms air vent didnt work and nor did the plug to prevent the tub from draining when trying to give my kid a bath- didnt bother me though but might be to others. The elevator doesnt have air and its slow & hot too. Breakfast had a great amount of options including waffles, cereals, eggs, sausages, oatmeal, yogurt, milk and juice. All in all for the price i was satisfied and would go back.

They used to be really well run the management the staff they have a hard time keeping people I understand and the one manager at night should be fired. They keep him at night every night knocked in the lobby, so he won’t see any customers as well. They should really get rid of that gentleman because he threatened me. And one man tried to run me over and his vehicle and ordered me to stay in my room and not come out all because I took my trash out because the staff does nothing. They don’t clean your room until you leave even if it’s two weeks from now doesn’t matter They were doing laundry in the dining hall. I was getting threatened. I’d grab my purse and I left for the day other patrons here one woman was trespassed because she forgot her key in the room and her husband was out and they wouldn’t give her a key she approved. She was not on the reservation even though she’s been there for days with her husband, man and wife. She was just passed by this one manager they keep them at night so he doesn’t have to deal with Pat but now he physically in his right car hopped in and almost hit me who orders a customer into the room. He had the police down jelly now I see their advertising I paid for a room that I did not get they would not move me to the room that I did pay for they had me in the cheaper room, which was flooded and unsafe side. I did not feel safe at all. I don’t know what kind of management is running that but they’re not doing a very good job and they should not yell at clients and the customers that we pay to stay there. I’m very dissatisfied and I’ll be online with others that have given them terrible reviews. We should not be mistreated like this without us. They don’t have jobs where the customer. I wish a lot of money there. I will never go back there again. That is final.

This hotel is clean and the staff was great. This property is right across the street from the beach, plenty of sights to see and restaurants are within walking distance. The room was definitely a bargain too!

Room had used towels from previous guests hanging on the bathroom door and a Q-tip on the floor. Staff at desk were apologetic, gave us compensatory points but when we tried to use them, we realized they were basically valueless and call centre customer service as we tried to figure out how to use the points was quite poor.
