Q: What to expect that's different than a hotel?
A: It's a boat, it is a unique FUN experience. There may be noises and smells that you'd expect from a boat. Pumps, motors, ocean water, etc. Every boat is broken the day it hits the water, especially salt water. We take great care of our fleet but we expect guests to tell us if anything isn’t working properly & we will PROMPTLY respond & will try to repair it in a timely manner.

Q: Waves?
A:. There is still a small amount of wave action and you'll feel a slight rock from time-to-time. If there's a bad storm or the wave action gets to a point that your stay is no longer enjoyable, we will do our best (no guarantees) to work out alternative accommodations for you. Your comfort is our top priority. 99% of the time the marina is almost totally flat and calm. If there is a tropical storm or hurricane warning issued in our county we offer full credits toward another stay on any of our vessels to accommodate the situation

Q: Do you allow pets?
A: Not on this vessel. Please look at our pet friendly listings!

Q: Can we hold events or parties?
A: No. This is a place to relax. We ask that there be no events or parties on the boats so the other guests can enjoy their stay. Quiet time after 10pm.

Q: Is the marina safe?
A: VERY. We have 24/7 surveillance. The parking lot & dock is well lit & the marina is right off US-1 which is one of the main roads in St. Augustine. All boats lock from inside & you can padlock the door when you leave if you wish to lock up your belongings. We’re here daily looking over the fleet.

Q: Handicap accessible?
A: No. You'll need to get on the boat which requires a 1-2' step and there are steps on the boat. The deck stairs are steep and you'll need to be sure footed.

Q: Parking?
A: Yes, you can park your car. Since it’s a small private marina the walk to the parking lot from the boat is only roughly yards away

Q: What if there is a hurricane advisory?
A: If there are hurricane advisories issued in the local area we are happy to move the reservations to a later date or issue a full credit toward another reservation with us. This credit can also be applied to our cruises and is transferable to other vessels.

Dear Dream Aboard, I had high aspirations to give your company a 5-star review and I wish I could. My wife and I love to travel and not stay in the normal everyday brick and mortar style hotels. We chose your Sailboat based on the pictures, description, as well as the location. 5 Star for location, 2 Star for pictures vs actual, 2 Star for description, let me explain, the location was amazing, close to everything, and the marina is just top notch. Let's talk about the Munch Marina, in your description this should be a MAJOR focal point which was not. We did NOT have any idea what was within our reach until we actually arrived. You should go into more detail about Munch Marina, it's a very cool environment to say the least, I spoke with other guests staying in your Boatels and none of them had an idea as well. Pictures let's just say that the pictures are not close to accurate, that is being very nice. I will leave it there. Description of the vessel, well not having HOT water was not listed, all the other vessels were the same according to the other guests as well, the major inconvenience of having to take a shower at the marina was not a plus, now if you had stated this prior it might have made it a little easier. The manual toilet was not an issue except for when you flushed the horrible smell of a septic system went through the whole boat, and this was only going #1, neither healthy nor romantic. The sailboat is very dated and that's the issue.

It was a fun experience to stay on a boat for a few days, the view of the water was unbeatable. Cabin was a bit smaller than expected, but well organized.

A new experience
This was a new and exciting experience. Great sunrise from the back of the boat. This is not a hotel room on the water, but very charming. Everything on a boat is small, and tall people learn to duck. We enjoyed it. The listing says 1 bathroom but small boat toilets are different and they recommend doing #2 on land to avoid smell issues.

Beautiful
Wonderful location easy to find even though there’s construction on the main road. Beautiful ship my only concerns if I had to mention them would be the mattress were a bit thin and wasn’t sure how to lock the cabin for when we weren’t there

Overnight sailboat experience
While traveling with a friend we decided to stay somewhere other than a hotel and experience an overnight on a sailboat. Access to the vessel was okay and the marina was as described. However, once on the vessel our experience went south. We noticed a foul odor coming from the bathroom. The toilet had not been cleaned and it was clogged and would not flush. We immediately reached out to the owner but did not get a response until the following morning. It was very inconvenient as we had to use the bathroom facilities at the main marina. The thought for the overnight experience was fun but the actual stay was not so fun. We would not recommend this to travelers.

Beautiful Spot
Communication was spotty at best. They claimed to have sent me numerous Emails, which never arrived! The outlets and light needed new fuses, no Hot water and you weren’t allowed to fully use the bathroom! Despite everything that wasn’t square, I’d go again!

Rain rain go away
This was a super fun stay. It rained which made sleeping even better 😉 I wish we had more time (we were passing through) as I love St Augustine. And the rain kept us inside more then out. However first thing as we opened hatched and came up a dolphin passed by. It made my day!!!!

From Sunrise to sunset, spectacular!
We have never stayed on a boat before and were really looking forward to the experience. We were not disappointed. Fabulous eatery within footsteps. So enjoyable to leave the hectic, busy area of downtown St Augustine and retreat to our cozy stay aboard! As an artist, I loved painting downtown St Augustine but equally enjoyed painting boats in the marina. Loved every minute!

not a pleasant experience
Although the property owner tried to address our concerns it was not in a timely manner. We couldn't flush the toilet the second day, although it flushed fine the day before. He took an hour reply to three emails, finally responding by saying he was sending someone, but by that time we had already booked a hotel. I later received an emailing three hours later saying it was fixed. In the meantime it was raining, lightning and thundering and I guess we were supposed to walk up the metal gangplank in that to use the restroom! They refused a refund for the second night stating it was our fault that it wouldn't flush (why did it flush ok the first day??). The beds are 2 inch mats - very hard and uncomfortable. The blankets are 60 inch long throws, not blankets. You couldn't run 2 heaters at once, the circuit blew. The ladder up to the boat isn't attached and slipped around in the rain; not safe. The coffee offered was the cheapest stuff (green mountain), we didn't bother. The boat leaks in the rain over the toilet so in the middle of the night it dripped on my shoulder and I walked into a puddle of water. All of my concerns were mentioned when requesting a refund, but all they did was focus on why it was our fault! I have been a host, I always listened to my guests, if someone had told me these things were wrong I would have refunded the WHOLE amount. Don't waste your time or money. ps my friend has spent many weekends on the boat she owned, so we weren't complete novices. Don't fall for their excuses - we had a terrible experience.

Lacking in communication
The check in process was terrible (apparently a big secret) I blame this on the property manager/owner. We had no idea where the property was located until 24 or less hours before arrival. Coming from a distance away made this a problem. Several phone calls later I was able to get the information. The property management wants you to wash your dishes before leaving but doesn't provide dish towels or a plug to hold water in the sink. There was no bathing item either. (Soap or washcloth)

Not A Dream!
Our experience was awful. We tried to make the best of our stay but ended up packing up and leaving at 12:05 a.m. The boat had such a strong smell that it irritated our nostrils and lungs. My husband is retired Navy and he was appalled at the lack of sleeping space on this vessel. While the main area did stay cool the cabin was so hot we couldn’t begin to fall asleep. VERY Disappointed! Complete waste of our hard earned money. We ended up driving 3 1/2 hours home w/ no sleep to avoid wasting any more money. This was for our Anniversary so you can imagine how truly disappointing it was for us. NO!! I would NOT recommend this vessel to anyone.
