Welcome to Inn St. Helena, a #1 Bed and Breakfast in the town of Saint Helena! We invite you to experience the warm hospitality of our historic inn nestled in the perfect Napa Valley location.

This listing is for the entire 5 bedroom main home, called Ambrose Bierce House, with full service provided: a 3-course breakfast and daily maid service.

We are licensed to rent out for short term rentals. Some of the listings on here may not be allowed to do so and could put your trip in jeopardy if the county cracks down.

You will have access to the entire inn except the kitchen and office area which is separated from the rest of the home.

If you need an additional room, there is a private studio apartment with 2 beds and 1 bath above the garage available for an additional cost. This loft has two queen beds, well-equipped kitchen, dining, and sitting area. Did I mention that the private bathroom comes with a steam bath! That studio listing is vrbo.com/

With the entire inn (Main House, Studio, and Cottage House), you will get 8 guest rooms, with one of them being a 2-bedroom suite. In total, we can accommodate 20 people (2 people per bed) in actual beds and perhaps 2 more on a sofa bed. Guest do not have access to the kitchen in the Main House, but will have use of a kitchen if you added either Cottage House or Loft Studio.

Perfect Stay in St. Helena!
The cottage at Inn St. Helena was perfect for three couples. Each of the three rooms offered en-suite bathrooms. We cooked, laughed and enjoyed the patio. The innkeeper, Petrice, was so thoughtful and made certain that our stay was perfect. The location is an ideal home base for visiting Napa Valley wineries and is within walking distances of downtown St. Helena. We all highly recommend this property

A St. Helena gem
This is a great little cottage for 3 couples visiting wine country. All three bedrooms, each with its own full bath, are nicely appointed and furnished, well stocked, with comfortable beds. The kitchen is small, but has everything you need to prepare any meal. It even is stocked with St. Helena s own coffee, which is very good. Walk a block down Main St. to Model Bakery, or to shop in the many upscale shops available. Sit out on the front porch and enjoy that bottle of wine you just discovered. Patrice, the innkeeper, is such a delight. We would definitely return.

The cottage at Inn St Helena is lovely place to stay. The cottage is very roomy with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. It was spotless when we arrived, and the beds were very comfortable. It has a very cozy, quaint vibe, and the location is a short distance from downtown. There is a parking lot and ample on street parking.. I highly recommend it!

Perfect location!

We loved our stay in St. Helena! The house is in walking distance to many awesome restaurants and stores. The innkeeper is amazing! She is so friendly and welcoming. The house was perfect for our family. All 3 bedrooms have a full bathroom attached. The full kitchen is great and we spent some time sitting around the kitchen table. We ate our breakfast one morning in the outdoor area on a beautiful sunny day! The only downside is that the living room area is small. We would definitely rent this house again if we go to St. Helena with our family!

My wife and I met my sister and her adult children, total of 6 of us. It was a great place, very convenient with all of Napa valley and the town of St Helena. Would definitely stay again. Only thing it lacked was a sitting room with TV that would fit all of us. Did have many great times around the kitchen table though.

Quaint House in St Helena.
We very much enjoyed ourselves at this property. The location was great for our purposes, not having to drive much after wine tasting for the day. The staff Vic, Madeline, Laurie and Lupe could not have been more gracious and friendly. The house sits on a busy street- so early and late are kind of a pain to get into the driveway also noise level- We, ourselves, produced enough noise to counter this. I only wish we could have used the kitchen in the evening and that there could be more outdoor space (remove the outdoor hot tub).
