Jarrow, a 19th century coral-stone villa, is nestled on the beautiful south coast of Half Moon Bay, St. Lawrence. Its gentle elevation allows you to sit on the sun deck and watch the fishermen go out to the sea early in the morning , and return with the day's catch -- which you can have freshly prepared in the comfort of your villa or barbecue on the large deck.
The gingerbread-style villa boasts three double bedrooms, two large bathrooms, and spacious mirrored dressing rooms.
From the foyer, living and dining area and well-equipped kitchen, you can enjoy the spectacular views of the sea.
The unique beach at your doorstep. is protected by a reef which makes it excellent for swimming in the day or at night. You might be joined with friendly turtles!
The skylights in the bedrooms and lounge enable you to view the beauty of the moonlight, and to welcome the morning sun.
The southeast breezes of the Caribbean sea continuously waft through the villa, keeping it fresh and cool.

Fabulous for friends trip

We loved everything about this spot. The listing is accurate, although the pictures don't really do it justice. You will spend all your time on the back deck just enjoying the view or going out for a lovely swim. Host provides plenty of towels and the bathrooms have toiletry dispensers. If you plan to cook, fresh fish can be picked up within a stoneā€™s throw from the house and the kitchen has all the equipment you need (but no pantry items other than salt and pepper ā€“ however there is a grocery store in walking distance). The location is also super convenient ā€“ so easy to walk to the Gap or adjoining beaches or hop on the Z bus to head to Oistens. There is no need for a car although you can have one here if youā€™d like. It can be a little noisy at night so that could be a problem for a light sleeper, but a couple of sets of earplugs was all that was needed for our group! Timothy was a responsive host and an all around great guy. We will definitely look to stay here again!

Awesome Location

We stayed at Villa Jarrow for 28 days, the location of this property is second to none. The views from sunrise to sunset are breathtaking. Very close to the Gap restaurants and nightlife as well as grocery shopping and multiple beaches. With direct access to the calm waters of the bay protected by a reef we found no need to travel far. Our host provided exceptional attention we will definitely be returning. It was the best location we have ever stayed at near the gap. Highly recommend.

Charming restored historic home on the ocean

This is a charming, clean comfortable home located at the entrance to St. Lawrence Gap. Although the front of the home is located on a busy street as soon as you enter and close the gate the view is stunning and the home is your own little oasis. And who can resist being able to walk down a small flight of stairs to dive into the ocean and snorkel, swim with turtles or just float. There are great beaches within walking distance as well. In fact mostly everything is in walking distance - dining, shopping etc. Everything you need is in the house and the back porch overlooking the ocean is where you will spend most of your time whether in the sun or shade. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with a welcoming host and housekeeper and a view and water access hard to pass up. Itā€™s also a central location from which to explore the island further if you have a car and only 15 minutes from the airport. It can get noisy later in the evening with music, but we got use to it quickly and it did not detract from the overall experience. Well worth a stay.

Perfect introduction to Barbados

Lovely traditional beachfront house with gorgeous views, fully equipped kitchen, and three air-conditioned bedrooms. You could walk out directly into the water from the porch an additional benefit, which was not expected is the proximity to a huge number of fine restaurants with all types of cuisine.. And importantly, a car was not a problem as there was a small parking place directly across the street from the house.

Location, location, location!!!! Being on the water like this was fantastic. I could have just camped on that deck. Loud music was not for one member of our family but it did not bother the others. Felt safe. Very responsive host and staff! Charming

We spent 7 days in Barbados and had an amazing time. But I have to say that being in Villa Jarrow was the best part of it all. Its beautiful deck/patio was the highlight of our stay, The Villa is located on the beach, we just had to get down a few stairs from our deck and we were swimming in the best beach in Barbados, We didnt have to take our bags or hire sun loungers. We could just swim any time of the day/evening and come back to our deck and lie on the loungers. It was the best place to gaze at stars at night. All the best restaurant in Barbados are located near the Villa. Cafe Sol was the best and it is less than a minute walk from the Villa. Sandy beach is a couple of minutes walk away. Worthing food court is ten minutes walk away where you can sit in the open and buy/eat variety of food from various trucks. The Villa owner was very hospitable and easy contactable when we had a question to ask. He welcomed us with the best rum punch in Barbados. We had plenty of towels and beach towels. The rooms are clean and have AC. The lounge and kitchen/dining area were well equipped and so fresh with the breeze from the sea day and night.

Super Two weeks

Definitely a great two weeks we had. The weather was spot on, must say the air conditioning in the rooms is a great plus . It could not be easier to have a swim in the sea than it is here. You literally just take a few steps, on the beach, in the sea. With the reef to block any big tides and waves, you are safe to wonder into the sea and we got some great footage swimming with the sea turtles. Location is great for restaurants ( there are a few food courts around with a lot of different food stalls )and happy hour is regular available for that cocktail or beer specials. If needed you can take a reggae bus to Bridgetown, Oistins etc for 3.5 Bajan dollars per trip. Just be warned it could get packed in the minibus taxis, but it was all good fun. And then a supermention to MC Turtleman, super Mike. Anything we wanted or needed he was there to help us out. Fresh fish, even cooked us some. Mosquito candles, waterproof carrier for our phones you name it, he got. He even took us to the Oistin fish fry on Fridays, and got as a table cause it gets ver busy. But his main thing is to take you out on his boat, for some fishing and snorkelling at the boat wreckages at Bridgetown, my daughter was very excited when she caught her first fish , a tuna fish. And got it cleaned and had a great meal. So a great thank you to MC Turtleman, to me super Mike. Timothy the owner was superb and very accommodating and it was a great pleasure to meet him, our paths will hopefully cross sooner than later.

Our stayed at Villa Jarrow was perfect. It was exactly what we expected based on photos. The home was comfortable and we felt safe. The private beach access and the sound of the waves created a very zen and relaxing atmosphere which we so needed. Property is in a good location - access to restaurants, bars, grocery store, and main airport. Looking forward to staying again.

We wanted a private on the beach setting where the waves and sounds of the ocean were present and not just a high rise resort this time. That paired with the Primo restaurant next door and the views from there is just heaven. Carlisle Bay is10/15 away and I would recommend if looking for the same ocean experience.

Tim is an amazing host. He accommodated us in every way possible which made our stay very enjoyable. Having morning coffee on the deck overlooking the bay was our favorite part. Perfect location for walking to restaurants/stores and watching the sunsets. Make sure you get in touch with his buddy Mike who will be your personal ambassador for anything and everything!

We needed a place for one night and this was a great last minute find ! Less than 15 minutes from the airport - the host was kind enough to arrange pick up for our group is 7 since we were coming in later in evening. Rental was better than expected - listing very accurate. Great communication - thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

My experience at Villa Jarrow was amazing. Pictures cannot describe what you will experience while you are staying at the villa! Beautiful deck. Beautiful living space...beautiful everything. Truly a little piece of perfection on the island. You are near several shops and night life. Tim is an incredible host! He met us at the villa and gave us a personal tour and brought mangos from his tree!! He called to make sure we were getting around ok and if we needed anything. The personal touch of renting this space is invaluable! Tim...we will be back! Incredible!

Great location

I together with 5 friends stayed at this property for 8 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I cannot relate to any of the comments in the previous review.The property was very clean, we had no issues with the kitchen, bathroom or any of the facilities and it was spacious enough for our group. The water pressure and warmth of the water in the showers could be better but this is just a minor issue. Roseanne cleaned the property meticulously, Rudolph was nearly always available to drive us wherever we wanted and Tim was very accommodating with any request we made. The location of this property is fantastic, its only a few steps down to the beach and coffee in the morning on the verandah looking out at the ocean is truly something. It is also very close to numerous bars restaurants and beach bars, you are spoiled for choice We all had a wonderful time in Barbados and this property was an ideal place for us to stay and would return there when we decide to return to this fabulous island

Kitchen filthy bathrooms cracked tiles broken mirrors dirty showers filthy linen and pillows lights missing doors jammed cracked plates toaster and juicer broken cooker so dirty could not use outside sun beds broken and filthy cockroaches in property I could go on this place advertised on your website shows photos taken 16 years ago as agreed with the host I informed him of all my complaints and he agreed to compensate me but has done nothing about so I expect a refund from your company as it was to you that I paid the considerable amount of money finally I believe that this property should be taken off your listing also I have many photos to prove what I am telling you is correct
