We are centrally located in the Fox Park neighborhood. Less than 10 min from downtown area attractions; great location for getting to major city sites easily by car. The area is a good mix of old classic brownstones and new development. There are a couple of great restaurants in the neighborhood but overall not many shops/restaurants within walking distance. Lots of free street parking out front so no worries there.

Yes! Our neighborhood is among the safest in St. Louis city (reference: Trulia crime stats). Please know that the area is safe and not near the areas (North and East St. Louis in particular) that you hear about in the news. That said, it is a city neighborhood, not gated suburb and you'll find a wonderful melting pot of old homes, new development and diverse neighbors.

Highly Recommend Joe’s Place
We had a great stay at Joe’s place!! Everything was clean and stocked with all the supplies we needed. Plenty of coffee, towels, games and little details I would not have not thought of. The neighbors were very quiet and we visited many fun little restaurants and parks in walking distance. The location overall was great and though downtown wasn’t walkable it was only a very short drive away. My friend and I enjoyed our visit and highly recommend!!:)

Perfect place, great location, and amazing host!!
We stayed two nights in this house as a family. The house has such a cool vibe- it’s got exposed brick and original wood floors, along with the charm of the old doors, old era hardware throughout the house, etc but then it was combined with this crisp, modern yet comfortable furniture and decor. We loved all the amenities that the host offered such as a nicely stocked kitchen, MagSafe chargers next to the bed, extension cords to make sure there was an outlet at each bedside to charge your devices, extra box fans, extra bedding and pillows, bathroom products like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash… just things that make a stay so much more convenient and easy. The host was incredibly responsive and communicative. He reached out on the second day asking if we needed anything like extra towels or anything and even recommended a great local brunch place nearby that we ended up going to and really enjoying (Have a Cow Urban Farm Store and Cafe- seriously, go try it. Great food and a super cute atmosphere). We had no issues with safety and security in the neighborhood. We were able to park on the street right in front of the house. I was nervous staying in town in St. Louis because I had heard there was a lot of crime in the city but since everything we planned to do was right near downtown, we decided it was worth a try and we were very happy with the location. I felt relieved to know we were in a safe place. Would definitely recommend!!!

Attended Four shows at The St. Louis Opera and other sights in St. Louis.
We enjoyed our week at this property. It was close to all the events we planned for our stay. There were different types of restaurants near-by. This urban property was exactly what we were expecting. The proximity to the highways got us wherever we were going. The property was very comfortable during the hot temperatures during our visit. The place was clean with comfortable beds and new appliances. The host was helpful, for the couple of questions we had.

Lovely 3BR apartment in a well-positioned place near a variety of possible attractions. The quiet neighborhood felt very safe throughout our stay. Joe is unparalleled in his excellence as a host. Quaint and cozy home!
We loved our stay here! The beds were so comfortable. The house was very clean, charming, and cozy. It also had all the modern amenities we needed. The bedroom setup was perfect for our family of five. We did get a noise complaint due to our younger kids (ages 4, 5, and 8) in the morning. It was hard to keep them quiet until 10am, so this home may be more suitable for adults and/or families with older children. The location was convenient to all the sites we wanted to see. Communication with the host was super helpful and easy.

Great space for a getaway!
My 3yr old son and I met my family for a last-minute weekday getaway as we all live within a couple of hours of STL. This was a great location close to the ballpark, zoo, Ikea, restaurants, etc. We were able to travel around, avoiding the highways which was a nice bonus! The place was very clean, comfortable, and large enough for us all to relax in our own spaces while still being able to hang out in the kitchen/living area. The neighborhood seemed very safe as we walked around a in the area in the morning. People were friendly and many places appear to being revitalized/remodeled.

We had a very comfortable & clean stay at Joes place! Easy to find & check in, the house is older but it was so charming & had modern touches that made it a fun experience. The king bed was SO comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to have a nice breakfast. We will definitely choose to stay here again we we visit St. Louis!

Our family needed a place to relax and crash after exploring attractions in the city for a short stay. It worked perfect for that! It was close to downtown, very quiet at night. Beds were comfortable and our kids loved using the streaming services and game table.

The owner was gracious and easy to communicate with when he had to address a noise complaint about our kids. I might recommend older kids to stay here because the building is old and noise does carry. The apartment was so charming and cozy. Super comfy beds and loved the alexa devices in all the rooms. It was a great stay! It was clean and aesthetic! The host was very kind and offered great complimentary items for the kitchen and every room. We also greatly appreciated the Alexa in the rooms. We did check in late at night and the GPS led us through an alley-so I would definitely not recommend checking in at midnight hahaha! But the stay was great! Thank you to the host!
