Clean and comfortable
Hotel is clean and the room is comfortable and well taken care of. Staff are friendly and helpful. The food was to a reasonable standard but the menu in the bar/restuarant was a bit limited; there was not one salad on the menu - which is what I really wanted. Also there is no gym at the hotel and with the snow yesterday going for a run in the cold and dark on narrow country lanes was not really an option.

Super stay, our third visit. The team are always so welcoming. A couple of bits that could have been improved on.... the heating turned on in my room before my arrival. There were a couple of small issues but the hotel was happy to put right had I asked.

Our second stay at The Moat House, the staff are wonderful, the rooms are spacious, the are dog friendly. The decor is sympathetic to the period building. A couple of negatives, despite asking for advice I couldn’t get the room warm enough during the night. The hotel is popular for wedding/ birthday events, unfortunately some other residents aren’t as considerate, who let their children run and down the corridor at 1am. That’s not the hotel’s fault but it did mean we didn’t sleep too well. Fortunately the excellent breakfast and service helped to make up it

First time staying at the Moat House. We had an unexpected room upgrade and we ended up in the Pagent suite which is a beautiful room with patio doors that lead onto the side of the canal. All of the encountered were very friendly but also professional. We had our evening dinner in the restaurant and the food was fabulous. This hotel is a gem. We will definitely go back.
