Fitness was filthy. Used towels, sweat stains on equipment, no sanitary wipes. Bathroom needed work. Peeling wallpaper. No full length mirror in the room

The hotel is very outdated and not clean at all. We had dirty towels with stains on them. Our bed sheets also had stains on them. We asked to be moved to another room just to experience the same things again. For the price you pay this hotel is absolutely not worth it. Also, the smells in the hotel aren’t pleasant either. Overall, a horrible stay & it was not worth the money.

I am a return customer. I've stayed at The Stamford 5 times in the last few years. It is a great hotel, the rooms are clean and the customer service is amazing. Everyone from the front desk, house keeping, the Manager and Mo (the bartender ) are wonderful! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. This is the only place I will stay when I go to Stamford Ct.

Mo the bartender was very personable and fun. Woman at the front desk during check out was very rude. She did not give a receipt for our stay, stating very rudely, we booked through a third party, and she could not give us a receipt. She did not explain why, just said she couldn't do it.

OK, noisy A/C, clean room & bathroom.
Courteous front desk staff, but you have to specifically ask them for any info - they don't seem to volunteer it. Perhaps more outgoing personalities would help. No breakfast Monday through Friday. Staff did not tell me about refrigerated wraps & snacks for purchase - I almost overlooked the alcove. Room clock did not work, so I told staff. I returned that evening - 'clock was plugged-in, flashing, and still did not work. Room A/C terribly noisy, so I turned unit off before going to sleep each night. Saturday breakfast - "a la carte", but no prices posted, no menu. Server said, "Let us know what you would like and we'll estimate" the cost. So, I ate elsewhere. Small gym room got the job done, but yoga/exercise mats were thin and showing wear. Sunday morning, no towels and no disinfectant wipes in gym; one guest asked for towels and I requested wipes. Custodian brought wipes, said towels would be brought, soon. I finished workout, but no towels, so I asked custodian to please ask Housekeeping for towels. Bed was clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean. OK overall, but I think Management needs to "sharpen-up" and be more attentive, have better customer service and emphasize it to staff. I chose this hotel because it was cheaper than the Marriott nearby. However, you get what you pay for. Check-out was easy, Sunday morning. I left and had brunch at the Marriott before returning home.

Hotel did not acknowledge my status with Expedia. Asked the gentleman at the reception if he cann offer a room upgrade, he told me I didn't book a room on the upper level. Stayed at this hotel several times before and was always upgrated to a room at the higher floor. They had available rooms because he told me that they have rooms on 10th and 11th floor, but not for me. Also, he want to put me in a double bed room despite my booking was for a king bed room.

The woman at the front desk when I checked was rude when I asked her which line to stand in The woman I called later in the evening for extra bedding - Armani was rude - when asked to speak to a manager only then was she more accommodating The beds are so soft and uncomfortable, I had to sleep on the floor Overall, one of worst hotels I’ve stayed in. U can get same or better service at a holiday inn or Hampton inn. The staff are unwelcoming and act like they hate their job, the facilities are outdated and uncomfortable.
