Great stay would recommend.
The room was clean and comfortable. Can not fault the accommodation. The restaurant was clean and well kept. Breakfast was nice but I felt a whole mushroom and piece of black pudding could have been served rather than half of each. Especially for the price.

We just wrapped up a lovely stay at the Bell Inn. Rooms were immaculate, bathroom immaculate, linens clean, amazing breakfast and dining options and a friendly staff. Would highly recommend The Bell Inn.

A great night spent at Horndon-on-the-Hill
Although I only stayed for one night at this lovely hotel the staff and the atmosphere made my stay a wonderful experience. Definitely eat at the pub downstairs - they have some excellent food!

Beautiful and spotless accommodation. Fabulous helpful and attentive staff. Breakfast to die for! Loved the meadow for walking the dog and delighted she was allowed in for breakfast. We have already booked again for next month.

Lovely hotel but pricey breakfast
Horndon on the Hill is a picturesque village and the Bell is a delightful pub and hotel. The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet and in a pretty setting. My only gripe was breakfast which can work out really expensive. Toast and jam is Ā£4.10, a 'Variety' pack cereal Ā£2.50 and tea Ā£2.50. My breakfast cost Ā£17.10 and it could have been more.

Extremely clean and tidy
It was a great view despite the tight access to the carpark there was parking in front of room. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very modern and clean. The staff were polite and friendly and very helpful.

Mixed thoughts, really!
This hotel was really nice! The room was spacious and clean and the size of the bed was wonderful! I really loved the homemade biscuits that were left by the kettle, they were lovely and a nice homely touch! Checking in and out was nice and easy and the receptionist was friendly! My only gripes are that the ground floor room backed on to the kitchen, which meant it was a common occurrence to hear clattering of plates, shouting chefs and glass bottles being disposed of, which could be inconvenient to someone who spends more time in it than I did. It was also impossible to get dressed without shutting the curtains, due to the lack of nets at the window and door, and being on the ground floor meant people walked past/stood by the window a lot. The main issue for me however, was that I wanted to bring my partner and dog with me with me after Iā€™d booked it, and wanted to amend my booking so that this was possible, however the agent at Hotels.com told me that I had a single persons room booked and this wouldnā€™t be possible without paying an extra fee, although I knew Iā€™d booked a pet-friendly, queen size bed! On arrival, I had the large queen-size bed that I knew I had booked originally and the room was large enough to have housed a dog too. This was frustrating and ruined our plans. It was unnecessary for me to have to attend on my own and I could have bought them along with me after all, but due to poor hosting I didnā€™t find that out until I arrived, and it was too late.
