If you are looking for fancy, modern accommodations, this probably isn’t the place for you. If, however, you want a cozy, secluded place to unwind and forget the world, look no further! The rustic charm is baked right into the name of this lovely cabin- For Old Time’s Sake.
My family spent a long weekend at the cabin and really enjoyed ourselves! The hosts were very communicative before our stay, providing detailed directions, suggestions for other things to do locally, etc. My kids loved the s’mores welcome pack. There are many games, puzzles, etc to keep everyone entertained. Not to mention catching all the frogs and lizards, and daily walks to talk to the cows! We also enjoyed painting a couple rocks to add to the collection on the front porch. This place truly is full of “old timey” charm, in all the best ways!
The private river access was awesome! The pictures don’t do it enough justice. The gravel bar is nice and large and the views are beautiful! Just keep in mind- float trips are big on weekends. We enjoyed having the river all to ourselves all day Friday and enjoyed the people watching as group floated by on Saturday. :) It is a little too far from the cabin to walk, if you’re packing to stay down there for the day. The drive is a little rough- not graveled, just a path through the fields. But manageable and so nice to not have to leave the property.
We definitely recommend staying here and plan to come back again! Thank you!
