Our house is located in the south of the Thuringian Forest,
in a quiet location.
It was renovated in March 2019 and
has a high quality equipment with fireplace and balcony.

It can be the starting point for getting to know Thuringia on foot, by bike, by train or by car.

Equipment:
The house is detached on the southern slope. Two to a maximum of six people can live in it. The living area extends over three levels, which are open, connected by a central spiral staircase.
On the ground floor is the living area with hallway, round table, inglenook fireplace, kitchenette and small dining area and the balcony.
There are bathrooms, a narrow double bed and a wardrobe. At First, half a floor up, is the actual sleeping area for two people.
Next two people can sleep in the basement with shower / WC and terrace.
The house is only rented for two or more people.
The fortified open space in front of and the garden around the house can be used individually.
Pets are not allowed.
In the house may not be smoked.

Quiet house, Nice area
The house is located in a quiet neighborhood with parking right out front. For us it was nice having the bedrooms and bathrooms separated creating two private areas for our group. We appreciated not being in town with the ability to be in town in a few minutes by car. The owners of this property are very nice and easy to work with

Wir konnten dem Arbeitsalltag entrinnen
Wir haben uns im Haus sehr wohl gefühlt und der Kontakt zum Gastgeber war auch sehr gut. Zum Wandern, Shoppen+Wissenszuwachs (auch im Ort!) und Stadt-Visite ist Steinbach-Hallenberg ideal zwischen Suhl/Zella-Mehlis und Oberhof und Schmalkalden. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr schönes Haus und herzliche Gastgeber
Das Haus ist sehr schön und gepflegt. Die Gastgeber sind jederzeit ansprechbar, wenn doch mal der Schuh klemmt. Vielen Dank dafür. Die Umgebung ist einfach herrlich und wenn man mit dem Auto unterwegs ist, kann man auch viele Sehenswürdigkeiten besichtigen. Für normale Radfahrer ist das Gelände eher anspruchsvoll, da sehr bergig. Für Familien mit Kleinkindern ist die offene Wendeltreppe, die alle 4 Ebenen miteinander verbindet eher ungeeignet, ansonsten aber ein außergewöhnliches Highlight des Ferienhauses.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Schöne Ferienwohnung
Es waren sehr schöne Tage! Die Ferienwohnung ist etwas versteckt, wir sind erstmal dran vorbei gefahren. Dafür liegt sie nicht direkt an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße, was am Ende gut war, sodass man in Ruhe einparken kann und die Kinder bedenkenlos spielen konnten. Um das Häuschen ist ein kleiner Garten, der sehr zum Verweilen einlädt. Das kleine Örtchen liegt sehr zentral zwischen Schmalkalden und Zella-Mehlis. Somit sind größere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Ausflugsorte gleich um die Ecke. Wir, besonders die Kinder, fanden das Haus mit der Wendeltreppe, die alle Etagen bzw. Räume miteinander verbindet, sehr toll. Da diese aber auch kein Spielzeug ist, würde ich dieses Ferienhaus für Familien mit Babys und Kleinkindern bis 4/5 Jahren weniger empfehlen. Noch zum Schluss: Wer nachts geräuschempfindlich ist, sollte sich dementsprechend vorbereiten. Zwischen 6 und 7 Uhr morgens ist der Berufsverkehr unterwegs. In der Stunde war es mitunter sehr laut, besonders weil wir keinen Durchgangsverkehr gewohnt sind.

Ideal für langes WE
Wir waren mit Freunden für ein langes WE und wollten Schmalkalden & Umgebung erkunden. Für Kinder <4 Jahre ist das Haus eher weniger geeignet (Absturzstellen an der Treppe), aber ansonsten ist es sehr empfehlenswert. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett & hilfsbereit.

Toller Kurzurlaub
Wir hatten das Haus für eine Woche mit einem Kleinkind (3 Jahre). Zu dem Haus, toller Balkon, sauber und es fehlt einem an nichts. Ich habe mit meinem Kind vorher über die Wendeltreppe gesprochen und es klappte. Ich habe mit dem Vermieter, Herr Birkner und sehr Hilfsbereit, über die Treppe gesprochen und er denkt über eine Verbesserung nach. Zur Lage, ab dem Haus beginnen die Wanderwege und der Bahnhof zu dem man in die nächsten Städte gelangt ist Fußläufig schnell zu erreichen. Wir hatten als Familie einen tollen Urlaub in dem Haus.

Keurige vakantiewoning in mooi Thūringen
Wij hebben genoten van onze midweek in Altersbach. Huisje is van alle basisvoorzieningen goed voorzien, comfortabel, net en schoon. Contact met de eigenaar was prettig en verliep soepel. Wij vinden het huisje zeer geschikt voor een stel, maar er stond ook nog een 2-persoonsbed op de 2e verdieping. Let wel, het huisje is volledig open. Er zijn dus geen afgesloten (slaap) kamers afgezien van de mooie badkamer. Huisje is weliswaar vrijstaand maar omgeven door (rustige en vriendelijke) buren. Helemaal privé zit je dus niet op het balkon, zeker niet als het huis tegenover ook verhuurd gaat worden. Er is een Gasthof op loopafstand waar je kunt eten. Toen wij er zaten in de herfst, beperkt geopend. Ook op loopafstand zijn de diverse supermarkten (16 min - 25 min). Tot slot voor de wandelliefhebbers onder ons, er lopen diverse prachtige routes langs de vakantiewoning. Of het nou is om een rondje uit te waaien of langere afstanden, je kan je hart ophalen en anders is er altijd nog het station en de trein in Altersbach om je verder het mooie Thüringen in te voeren.
