I would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. The staff were rude, and not helpful. They had a wedding going on at the hotel, so this meant that the dining options were even more limited. Our room must have been the worst room I have ever stayed in. Handicapped bathroom that was messy and uncomfortable to use. We were right next to the ladies bathroom and the stairs, so until 3 am you could hear the music and other guests from the wedding. We might have been better off sleeping right in the lobby… at least we might have been able to get a drink and some food. The facilities are not located in the hotel, but in the university, which is about a ten minute walk. We are still looking for the gym, that was not accessible. No questions about how the stay was, tried to find anyone at the front desk during the evening, to no avail. The only good point is that there is a dodgy trail to the Wallace memorial behind the hotel. Not easy to find, but worth the walk, as there is nothing else to do within walking distance. Literally the worst hotel experience of my life, and would not recommend to anyone that has any sense of travelling Rude front desk agents, who could care less about their job or your pleasure

Our first impression was the building is old and tired and in need of a face lift. Our booking couldn’t be found and we were kept waiting for 25 minutes. Staff failed to explain not only to ourselves but other guests what was required when exiting the property with your vehicle - (a ticket from the check in desk was required to be collected to scan at the gate). The room was tired and furniture well worn. Bathroom cabinets required replacing as they had swelled and blistered. The room itself was very clean, the bed comfortable and large bath towels were provided.
