First off: the flat itself is cozy, immaculate, well designed, nicely furnished with a useful kitchen, located near handy things like a good breakfast place & bars.
The place itself was great but arrival & departure were awkward. We had some trouble getting into the flat with the keyless lock system - which at 11:30pm was pretty frustrating, esp. when we’d let them know we were arriving quite late. The flat manager was unreachable till morning (phone switched off) & we got in only because the person staying in the second flat heard us trying to get in & tried her own code (which only happened to work because she was staying up in ours later that week, so the code had defaulted to hers?....) Yeah. Awkward. The keyless entry is great for flexible arrivals so no one needs more be there to meet you - but if there’s a technical hitch (in this case the manual override didn’t work & it deemed us as no shows), there needs to be a way to address this. On departure: 10am is far earlier than usual for non-hotel properties; the cleaning staff let themselves in at 10:10 when we were still finishing packing. Seemed preeettty unrealistic for cleaning to start so close to check-out time.
If they can nail the check-in and relax about departure, this is one of the classiest, best-kept places I’ve ever stayed.
