Perfect Mountain Vacation Spot
First of all, let me say that this area of the mountains in NE Ga is my family’s all time favorite, near Lake Winfield Scott Recreation Area. We booked this home because we were already familiar with the area and all the great things to do: fishing at Lake Winfield, wining and dining at Wolf Mountain Winery, shopping in Dahlonega, stopping into the Sunrise Store for boiled peanuts and fresh vegetables, picnics at Brasstown Bald, are just a few of the fun adventures you can have when you stay at this very quaint, well appointed home. The pond on the property was enjoyed by all and my 11 year old nephew caught a fish almost every time he set the pole up. You could actually see the fish swimming while on the porch. The sunset views from the house, watching the horses across the street, listening to the bullfrogs at night and having an owl visit you while relaxing in the hot tub were all highlights of our stay. We enjoyed the spaciousness, privacy, peace and quiet. Thank goodness for the internet connection as cell service is not good in this area. We were able to stay in touch with our family back home when you set your phone to also include WiFi calling. The trip was a Five Star rating in our book!

The property was easy to get to. Very clean and comfortable. The wifi password and conection were incorrect. The gas grill was rusted and not useable. And could not find broiler pan to use. But other than that..it was relaxing and peaceful.

The only thing we would say negative is that it is a bit far from anything. The "view" is lacking due to the run down or abandoned buildings at the property entrance. Also - it would be a big improvement if they could find a spot for a firepit area.

Breath-giving views!
The landscape views and location were absolutely gorgeous, to say the least! Check in was a breeze, we received plenty of clear communication, and there were existing baby gates at the top of the stairs and outside on the deck. Perfect for our toddler to not fall to his death or run away down the mountain towards the cows! The fresh air coupled with the sunrise and sunset views makes your day. God sent us to this place to refresh our souls.
