Summerland cottage
We enjoyed Summerland. It is a small sweet town about 20 min from Santa Barbara. It’s right close to the 101 freeway so you do hear the traffic going by. And there is a lot of construction along this part of the highway right now and can cause traffic jams. I liked the fire pit and sitting on the deck. The crab cakes at the nearby food truck were fun and we had a delicious breakfast at the cafe. The hosts were somewhat slow to respond to my queries at times but eventually we connected. Our destination was Santa Barbara for the university graduation but I would not stay this far from SB again given all the traffic. Also plan to get tar on your shoes when walking on the beach.

Spring Getaway
We had a wonderful time at White Caps. The location is great, and the host was caring and engaged. With the addition of the lobster rolls, this will be a one-of-a-kind retreat. Thanks for the hospitality.

Nice Stay in Summerland
Very clean and nice stay in Summerland. We liked that the place had an extra den / room which was helpful when travelling with a baby. It’s about 20 mins or less from
Santa Barbara which made it a great home base for day trips. Very close to the beach but also highway and train tracks (closer than maybe we realized when booking) - so there will be some noise. The place was very well stocked and decorated. A little tight for family of three but I’d imagine perfect for a couple. Especially if you are mostly planning on eating out only. Within rolling distance to the restaurants and coffee shops of Summerville and close to nearby hiking trails so convenient from that perspective!
