I do not understand how franchise/licenses of hotel brands work - but it appears like there is no quality control/reviews by comfort inn on properties because I can’t see how they would be OK with this one
Ease of reservation on Expedia and simplicity at check in at hotel are the only reason this property received a 2
Carpets in room were old and felt dirty to the point where I did not take my shoes off the whole time I was there
The room smelled musty and the AC unit would not run continuously, but would could come on and off, which made the room sticky and had an odor to it
For the price was not expecting Hilton/Marriott level place but - I was in a first floor unit that had a crack in the ceiling from one side to the other
The sink had a spider crack in it as well
When the people next-door were turning on the light switches, I could hear the clicking
The shower had mold in the grout- it went unused
The toilet did not flush
I arrived after 10:30 PM, or I likely would’ve tried to find another hotel - problem is with the storm that came through. Everything was sold out.
If I had no other place to go, I might stay here, but it wasn’t a very good experience- not through the fault of the check in person, but the owners of this property, who obviously do not invest in it
I rarely write negative reviews but it is shocking to me how others can give a 10 out of 10 for this hotel unless the room I stayed in was the only one that was this bad.
