We had to line up and wait for a table for 20 minutes to have breakfast that we already prepaid when we booked the accommodation and we were told when we checked in to avoid the crowds we should have breakfast before 8 o’clock or after 9:30 despite showing up at 9:30 didn’t make any difference . travelled the world and never experienced anything like it. It’s a 5 star hotel and that is unacceptable , lift your game up and employ the right people to do delivery results

Quick questions for hotel design team and management: 1. Is the general vibe of the hotel supposed to be 'dark, small & cluttered'? Because that's exactly how I would describe the lobby & the room we booked (Oasis 2 bedroom suite). 2. After taking the lift up to our floor, the numbers displayed on the wall (that show the general direction rooms are located) didn't include the room number we were allocated... pretty important detail to have missed don't you think?? (even the cleaning staff we asked were just as confused as we were). 3. The 2 bedroom suite is designed in such a way that you can't hear anyone knocking on the door. So why on earth are there no doorbells?? (other hotels have them for this very reason!) 4. And on WHAT UNIVERSE is it a good idea to have shower tap handles that turn in the opposite direction from each other??? Is that even a 'thing' now??? For who???? 5. Again, we had to ask staff how to use the 'high-tech' stove in our room and again, they had no idea (they had to call the maintenance guy). Is it too much effort to have simple instructions printed out & mounted somewhere? 6. Are your staff actually trained to provide top-tier customer service? They appeared confused when we asked them simple questions and I witnessed some staff being selective in who they were offering certain services to.. (ie, complimentary drink vouchers) 7. And FINALLY... why would you debit the previous guests room bill to my bank card, a full 7 days AFTER I checked out!!! Like

Beautiful hotel with brilliant staff!

Our stay started with a bang, as we checked in on a Saturday we had front row seats to all Darling Harbour fireworks from our harbour facing room. It was a spectacular welcome to Sydney! The rooms are beautiful, the breakfasts are delicious and location is amazing! The staff are extremely helpful, our son was not well during our stay and the staff were so kind when we needed a doctor and to book additional rooms to give us more space. The location is brilliant as there is so much happening around the harbour and it’s so easy to get into Sydney’s CBD. Including the Darling Quarter, which I highly recommend to any families visiting the area! Our room was gorgeous and clean, I loved the bar and the additional shark cuddling toys we had. We spent a couple of afternoons in the hotel pools as well. Enjoying the view, along with poolside food and drinks. The gym is also very clean! Highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay here again.

Have stayed in many many hotels over the years but have never experienced the professionalism or service like that of the staff at the W. Our stay was exceptional. We were upgraded to a family apartment from our booked double room upon arrival. Truly a stay we will never forget. The pools were phenomenal. Highly recommend!

Great location, pools were fantastic. Staff were very accomodating. Food delivered by room service was cold and insufficient butter supplied for toast but otherwise the stay was lovely. I’d recommend this as a family hotel and not so much a great place for a romantic weekend so keep this in mind when planning.

It was a beautiful hotel, however extremely poor service. Our luggage never turned up to the room despite a phone call to reception 30 minutes after we checked in so we had to go and collect this ourselves.. We ordered ice to the room, and it never came.. And thirdly we asked for fresh towels while the cleaner was in our hallway and they didn’t replace these until late afternoon. I expected better for the level of price I paid to stay here
