Definitely not more than a 4star hotel
Overall the hotel was not very well kept the pool area had old bandages laying around. The room we had the tub wasn't draining so we couldn't shower. Took three trips to the front desk before we were given a key to a different room so we could shower

The pool area was filthy, debris everywhere and stains. The room shower was weak and cold. The desk attendant was very nice. The breakfast was fair for me and the kids.

I can tolerate the pool under renovation, but not a lack of hot shower water. If only my room was affected, I would have switched rooms. If only my comfort was affected, I would have left a note for management. But NO HOT WATER, now I’m upset. The pancakes stuck to the paper plate with an adhesive force to rival krazy glue. Broken vending machines, dirty ceilings , clogged smoke detectors,broken plumbing, I expect and demand a full refund.

Cons/disappointments: Upon arrival we were told there was no wifi because the service was down. Over our 2 night stay it was never up. No hot water - lukewarm showers. The room was sold as up to 6 people. We had 4, but only towels for 2. We had to ask for toilet paper. Toiletries were only one small bottle of shampoo and conditioner. There was egg on the fridge door. The pool had seen better days - gritty bottom. The room smelled slightly of feet. Pros: the breakfast lady was ON IT! She was fun to watch - filling up sausages, cleaning up spills, putting out more muffins. She was the highlight of our experience. If the whole hotel was as clean as the breakfast area it would be sparkling clean. The room was large (got the 1 bedroom suite). Super close to the Destiny Mall. Quiet area. Would we stay again? No.

Water in the shower never got warm even on the hottest setting. Phone in the room didn’t work and we couldn’t hear the front desk when calling down. Appliances weren’t plugged in. Room was cold when we arrived. Hot tub was luke warm. Overall as this was a disappointing stay and not the type of accommodations or service we’ve come to expect from Best Western.

First morning of our stay, water was shut off just as my girlfriend put shampoo on her hair. Tried to phone front desk but phone not working. Had to use cell phone. I was told plumbers were working on lines and would be back on shortly. Not good enough as i demanded they turn it back on immediately which they did. Second morning, plumbers turned off cold water without notice resulting in steaming/scalding hot water in both the sink and shower. I can only imagine the danger of a child turning on the water.

Our tv was broken. We were given another room that still had things in the fridge. The washroom wasn’t clean at all, nor was the floor. We also had a second room and again it was not clean at all and there were stil items in the drawers. On top of that there was no hot water at all.

There was no wifi available despite the hotel advertising wifi and when I asked about it I was told it had been down several days and not to expect it to be fixed during our stay. Inconvenient for when travelling internationally as I then had to purchase an eSIM card. We had absolutely no hot water in our room, a fact we learned only after swimming so my 10 year old and I had no choice but to take a freezing cold shower. I asked the front desk about this and they told me this was a known issue in “some” rooms, a fact that should have been disclosed upon check in. When I reached out to a manager via email about these issues, I had to follow up to get a response and was told there would be a “partial” refund through Expedia but my reply asking the amount and with whom I should follow up with was left unanswered and still no partial refund. This hotel does not live up the the best western standards and I will never stay there or recommend it.

There was no hot water for the hotel, seems to be a known issue with them. Asked for blankets for the pull out bed, only given 2 fitted sheets and no extra pillows for the pull out. Ants in the bathroom area. I do want to say the hotel did refund us to try and make it right, but a little to late.

Location was ok. Staff very nice. Beds comfortable. Close to highway so a bit noisy when trying to sleep. Like that there is an indoor pool and hot tub, however, it looks like they have water damage they are trying to fix and there was an area in the pool area on the ceiling with a lot of black mold on it. Also, only two bath towels were in the room for three guests and we ended up having to ask at the front desk for a roll of toilet paper since no extra rolls in our bathroom and there was not much on the roll when we checked in. Another issue was that there was supposed to be free wifi and when we tried to join, it didn’t even show up in the list of wifi to use on any of our devices, so no wifi at all.

We had no hot water most of our stay. Ppl we went with had to wait hours to get into a room because they werent clean. Got to the room it was dorty pee everywhere. Things hanging off walls. Nothing worked right. Pool ceiling has mold. Bathroom ceiling in room falling in. Water was leaking into room from window. Had no pillow and blankets. Couldnt talk to a manager. They wouldnt respond. Just horrible. Stay away.

We were 2hrs early for check in but it was going to cost $10/hr to check in early. We were going to drop off bags and head back out. I could see if the room wasn’t ready or if we were going to use something but I’ve never encountered that before. If the room was ready, why not. Then we were placed in the middle of a high school group. I was travelling with my child. They were up very late. When I called the desk, it should have been monitored but it wasn’t. The staff were friendly just two pieces that made the stay less enjoyable.
