Communication from the time of booking through our stay was great.
We rented The Roost to spend Easter with our son, a student at FSU, along with his roommate and family.
After our arrival, I did reach out to management regarding a few items, which I am sure she will handle so the next guests do not have the same issues; therefore, I don’t think I need to mention them here.
The description mentions 3 patios on property. They do have three nice patios; but, they have not been maintained for usage. We swept up lots of leaves, limbs, and pollen upon our arrival on the large deck. We never did use the patios (although the weather would have been perfect) because it needs to be washed down from the pollen, limbs, and leaves. The firepit is located on the larger patio.
Parking is two carports, not garages as mentioned. No big deal; but, I thought I would note it.
Previous reviews mention the smell of marijuana. We only smelled marijuana when we opened the dishwasher….odd, I know. It wasn’t an overwhelming smell in The Roost.
As for dining out, you can park your car at The Roost and walk to many options. Publix, the grocery store, is close by (driving distance). And, of course, FSU is nearby.
As stated above, our purpose was to spend quality time with our son, his roommate and the roommate’s family; and, we were able to achieve that at The Roost!
