O Serro is a charming little cottage, recently renovated with special emphasis to local style and materials. It consists of two bedrooms (one with double, one twin), living room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and covered terrace with lovely views to the garden and the hills.
O Serro is part of “Pequeno Castelo”, a small guest house, where the swimming pool is open to all guests.
Santo Estevão (Saint Stephen), a typical Algarvian village is only about one mile or a fifteen minute walk along orchards of carobs, figs, oranges, almonds and olives. In the village you will find a small but very good restaurant, coffee shops, mini-markets, post-office, chemist and cash point .

Nice property but needs a little more
Could have done with more heating in the bedroom or spare blankets as this trip was in February. An information pack containing details of local facilities, restaurants, bars and walks etc would have been helpful. Having said that the property was clean and we had a great holiday in a lovely part of the Algarve.

Une pépite perchée sur une petite colline au dessus de Tavira. Le parc est exceptionnel, beau, calme,.. Tout est reposant, La maisonnette est très fonctionnelle, piscine parfaite, pas de vis à vis, les hôtes sont adorables. Expérience à renouveller très vite. Possibilité de petites balades autour du gîte. Bref, séjour trop court !! A découvrir, les plages, Tavira le soir, et quelques excursions à pied ou en bateau.

Schönes kleines und ruhiges Häuschen
Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Alleinlage, wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier richtig. Das Einzige was uns abends störte, waren irgendwelche Hunde in der entfernten Nachbarschaft, die im Chor bellten. Das Haus ist schön + praktisch eingerichtet, überdachte Terrasse, der Pool mit Liegen ist sehr schön und ruhig. 2 Liegen sind am Haus, aber feste Badeschuhe werden benötigt, da alles mit spitzen Kieseln ausgelegt ist. Bei Rückfragen schneller Kontakt zum Eigentümer. Wir waren mit unserem ruhigen Aufenthalt dort sehr zufrieden.

Idyllisch gelegenes Ferienhaus in Meeresnähe inmitten von Orangenplantagen
Das Quartier war ein guter Ort zum Erholen. Die Gastgeberfamilie waren sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück bei Sonnenschein war jeden Morgen ein Erlebnis. Das Meer lässt sich zu Fuß erreichen (8 km). Der Weg führt entlang von Orangenplantagen. Für uns war es eine entspannte Zeit, die wir genossen haben.

Tout était parfait. Le lieu est très reposant en étant à 15mn de tavira. Le logement était particulièrement bien équipé. Tout était prévu, de plus les hôtes sont adorables.

Alles super, easy und sehr freundlich.
Der Aufenthalt in der kleinen romantischen "Cabana" war prima, alles vorhanden. Sofa ein wenig ungemütlich, aber im Sommer verbringt man die Ferienzeit ja auch weniger drinnen, daher okay. Vermieter sehr nett und zurückhaltend, aber sehr aufmerksam. Jederzeit wieder. Dann wohl auch eher im Sommer.;)

Urlaub unter Palmen und Olivenbäumen
Sehr schöner Ort für einen Urlaub abseits des Massentourismus. Wohlfühlhäuschen mit Pool. Mit dem Auto ist alles andere schnell zu erreichen. Ein gutes Restaurant ist sogar fußläufig zu erreichen.

The house and swimming pool is good, however and unfortunately You feel like you are in a big brother. The owners are whatching you every here. I am going to every kind of hotels each week and I dind't feeL so bad. They ask the guests to clean all the bins including toilet bin! I never saw this in all my life!

Schönes Ferienhaus in idyllischer Lage
Wir waren mit unseren beiden Kindern (2 & 4 Jahre) auf unserer Algarve-Rundreise für drei Nächte zu Gast in diesem schön gelegenen Ferienhaus. Es liegt etwas abseits des Trubels, aber dennoch günstig, um Tavira und das Umland zu erkunden. Wir genossen die Landschaft von unserer Terrasse aus und auch die Abkühlung nach unseren Ausflügen am Nachmittag im Pool. Das Ferienhaus ist gut ausgestattet, einzig die beiden Einzelbetten waren sehr unbequem und würden sich über neue Matratzen freuen.

Ruhig und idyllisch, ideal zum Erhoz
Das Häuschen liegt ruhig und idyllisch und ist ideal zur Erholung. Auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge z.B. in das nahe gelegene Städtchen Tavira. - Weil es uns so gut gefällt, waren wir bereits zum 2. Mal in „O Serro“.

Ländliche Algarve pur
Nicht alle Versprechen könnte das kleine Ferienhaus halten. Der Weg zum Strand ist mind. 7 km lang. Die beschriebene Klimaanlage versorgt nur den Hauptraum, aber nicht die Schlafzimmer. Einen Blick zum Meer hat man leider nicht direkt vom Ferienhaus. Das WLAN ist an 5 Tagen innerhalb des 14tägigen Urlaubs ausgefallen. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und stets bemüht. Leider wird die Nachtruhe häufig durch eine große Anzahl von bellenden Jahdhunden gestört. Diese werden in direktem Umfeld des Anwesens durch Portugiesen gehalten. Dafür kann der Vermieter nichts, aber es ändert nichts an der nicht optimalen Schlafsituation. „Fenster zu, ist es ggf. sehr warm, da keine AC im Schlafzimmer. Fenster auf, lautes Hundegebell vieler Tiere über lange Zeiträume in der Nacht.“

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr schön. Das Haus war sauber und gepflegt. Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern war sehr nett. Wir haben uns an diesem idyllischen Ort sehr wohl gefühlt und würden gerne noch einmal wiederkommen!!!!
