Nice place
The property is nice. They provide everything you need. The fire pit is lousy - to me, a ring of metal plopped on a sloped, gravel driveway is not a fire pit. The beds are nice but the bedding is pathetic.

Fantastic stay
This is a great place to rest between hikes in Southern Illinois. It was very clean and we had everything we needed to cook all our own meals. The kids loved getting ice cream at the Outpost!

Great spot for a few days in Shawnee
Ive been down to Shawnee a few times for the New Year but this was our first stay (but hopefully not the last) at this great cabin. It was a great location - minutes from Garden of the Gods and close to our other favorite hikes in the Bell Springs area. The cabin itself was clean, with a nice kitchen, 2 nice bathrooms (with plenty of hot water) and bedrooms and fun stuff for the kiddos (my daughter loved the air hockey table). The hot tub was a real treat after a day of hiking in the cold. Andrew was great to work with for booking and day of check-in communications. Highly recommend.

Garden of the Gods Getaway
House was very clean. The people who work at the outpost where you check in were all very kind. Property is in a great location in respect to garden of the gods and multiple other trails. However, it is located on a busier road. We had an issue where the batteries in the cabin door lockbox died and no one answered the phone when we called. But we drove up to the outpost and they gave us batteries. Listed in the amenities in body soap, but there was none. My boyfriend had to use the dish soap. Lol. There are definitely some maintenance issues that could use some addressing. For example, half of the jets in the hot tub don’t work. The faceplate on the drawer in the bottom of the oven falls off when you open the oven door. And the sink in the kitchen is slow to drain. All in all, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

Great Get-Away Cabin
We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The place was very spacious and clean overall, except we found black mold on the floors in both showers. Overall, though, it was a great place for a family or friends vacation, and we'd recommend it. Thanks!

Great Weekend Getaway
The property is clean, decently equipped ( may want to bring good skillet and sharp knives if really cooking). I love the hot tub, air hockey and Wi-FI. Its a great little place to get away without feeling too disconnected from the world.

Great place close to Garden of the Gods
My time at Pine Ridge was everything I expected. The property was clean, and uncluttered, as expected with no unpleasant surprises. The hot tub was very nice and crystal clean. The check in process is managed by The Trading Post close by and the staff was terrific.

Garden of the gods cabin
The cabin was great and checkin was smooth and the manager followed up great when we thought we might be late. The surroundings were nice and looked secluded, but it was close to a small highway which if outside you could hear. Not a problem for us but others might want to know. You couldn’t see the road though so we felt it was fine. And unlike a previous person’s review there were in fact chairs for both decks.

Very nice
We really liked it. 2 parents and 2 teens (14 and 16). It was bigger than I expected. Tje outside does notnlook impressive but it os very nice inside. The kitchen was very big, not a lot of kitchen extras but we were only heating food up. A large kitchen table and a large table for outside eating. The hot tub is big and was clean but the jets didn't work very well. We all liked the air hockey table. The barhrooms were big with plenty of towels. The area is nice- very close to Garden of the Gods, Rim Rock and other Shawnee National.Forest areas. Check in is at the Garden of the Gods Outpost and was quick and easy and their ice cream was good. If we ever needed to stay in that area again, i would definitly stay there.

Last minute planning...
The hot tub was clean and very enjoyable. We thought the cosmetic details of cleaning were overlooked such as windows, deck mainly. The bed, bath etc were clean, tho. There were no lounge chairs on the back deck as pics indicated. The location to GotG and CinR was nice. We really enjoyed a beautiful evening eating at Etown on the river. The kitchen seemed slim of what we've come to expect at vrbo's such as coffee(kpods), seasonings, little extra's. Overall, we did enjoy the stay but will avoid the last minute planning that made this place our choice.

Comfortable, plus hot tub!
The cottage is comfortable, clean, and private, and the proximity to Garden of the Gods is awesome. The best part is definitely the outdoor hot tub! My only nitpick complaints are that they asked us to clean the dishes but didn't provide a sponge, and the bedding was a bit sparse – we got cold in the night and had to borrow a blanket from a different bed, since we couldn't find any extras elsewhere. Thank you for an otherwise very pleasant stay!
