Scenic and whimsical
Michael has done a fantastic job not only providing a comfortable and beautiful accommodation, but his creativity and skill shine in the many wonderful contraptions, puzzles and surprises around the property. A great place to stay for the gorgeous CT scenery, even better for the many opportunities of adventure scattered around the grounds. Will definitely recommend this to friends and family, and hope to come back in the future to find anything we missed!

A Gem In Connecticut!
Magical stay...we loved it so much we came back on our loop around the New England area! Fantastic hosts. The Underhills have speant a great deal of time and effort to make your stay memorable. The property is one of a kind! Clean and well maintained. We even had personal messages waiting each time we arrived...😁.

Not what I expected
I feel the listing was misleading. It stated 2 bedrooms two bathrooms. Nowhere did it say there was no running water inside. The inside “bathroom” was a camp toilet that did not flush and I was asked not to use it unless necessary. The place itself was NOT clean. There were live and dead bugs throughout, the “bed” was actually a fouton that was very stained. The freakiest thing was a periscope you could look through from the outside that showed the whole inside. The kitchenette was a college fridge outside with a hot plate. Needless to say we left after the first night. I would not recommend!

Very comfortable and whimsical
We felt right at home in this setting. If we had stayed longer, we would have explored and did the treasure hunt. Nice little spot.

was fun!
This is a fun place to stay!, a comfortable AC’d treehouse, plenty of outlets, a really fun design with cool gadgets and artwork - a nice bathroom close by, set on a beautiful farm. Michael is a great host, the goats, chickens, doggie were all cool too!

a fun, magical place
had a great time at the treehouse! spent time trying to figure out the secret messages in and on the treehouse. hiked in the woods looking for fairy houses and more with our guests (who also loved the place!) - enjoyed hot dogs and smores at the fire pit by the pond. saw a great blue heron... and goats! Owners were so friendly,,, and talented! Got a tour of the old barn and the artist studio. Had breakfast in our 'kitchen' under the treehouse listening to the birds... We read the comments in the guest book in the bookcase behind the pull-down table inside - everyone who ever came had a great time!

Magical Stay
Our stay at Thompson Farm was more than we had hoped for. My husband and I stayed in the Tree House for two nights while attending a wedding in the area. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Michael and introduced to some of the animals at the farm. The Tree House was cozy and clean, and the decor was aesthetically pleasing. We had fun learning Elvish, and decoding the messages left for us within the space. Michael was extremely accommodating, especially given that we forgot our bag of linens at home. Even though it was late at night when we asked for sheets and towels, Michael was extremely responsive and kind in getting some to us. Without giving away too much of the treasure you discover while staying at Thompson Farm, I will just say that we would absolutely stay again!

The tree house stay was so much fun! The treehouse itself was clean, comfortable and very whimsical. The full bathroom was easy to access and very clean. We explored the grounds and competed a treasure hunt where our kids found a gold bar.. and we also found adorable fairy houses hidden throughout the property. The owners were friendly and great with kids. We met the goats, chickens, new puppy, and a baby dragon! We will stay here again when we’re visiting family. Thanks for a great stay.
