My husband, sister-in-law, and I stayed at Debra's cottage. The location was greatājust a short drive to the cute town of Three Rivers, which has lots of coffee shops, a surprisingly well-stocked grocery store, and a few restaurants. It's also a short drive to the entrance of Sequoia National Park and to a lake recreation area.
We appreciated the air conditioning as the temps were in the mid-90s. The beds were comfortable. There is no washer/dryer in the cottage, so if you plan to stay longer than 2-3 days, plan. It did not bother us.
The hosts have a very helpful binder in the living room with much information about the local area.
We ended up cutting our stay short to just one night, as we found Sequoia National Park to be insanely crowded (more crowded than Yosemite) because you are forced to drive 16 miles on a narrow, winding road before you can split off to go to less crowded areas. We were told that the next day (a Sunday) would be even crazier because they waived entrance fees, and both the ranger and our host recommended we get to the park no later than 6 am, which we did not want to do. This was not a negative factor for the cottage, but we will not come here during summer - visit in the shoulder seasons if you can!
