The property is old but was obviously upgraded a few years back. Friendly service, great location. The seal around the bath needs some urgent attention. While I could hear street noise, the room was warm and I had a good night sleep.

Staff were very accommodating, allowing me to change my booking date after a late change to a business meeting and allowed me to continue using the carpark for that business meeting after I had check out. The hotel appears to be part way through a renovation. The ensuite was very dated but it was nice and clean with a nice hot shower. I will stay there again.

Great start but very Noisy!
It's a lovely old building. The renovated room I had was great. No complaints. A nice roast meal, very homely and great value. Service at reception and restaurant was friendly and efficient. My biggest problem was the Noise! The port is so close and the was working all night. I didn't get more than 45 mins of uninterrupted sleep all night. Then at 4.45 it was like somebody had a Leaf blower cleaning the pavement , could have been street cleaning. Either way the noise reduction isn't enough in such a busy area. Any one that is a light sleeper will have the same issue I had. I finally drifted off to sleep at 6.30 and then the renovation in the next room started hammering and working at 7.30am Would love to support a gem like this, but too hard like it is ! Please work on the sound proofing, double glazing or something !!
