For day trips you can visit, for example, Astrid Lindgren's World and her birthplace Näs in beautiful Vimmerby and Glasriket with its larger glassworks and smaller artificial glassworks. Also visit historic Kalmar with its Renaissance castle and take the bridge to picturesque Öland with its medieval castles, art and culture.
