Room for improvement
Check-in was unnecessarily delayed, slow, and I ended up with one of the worst rooms in the hotel. Myself and other guests had to wait more than 30 min at the lobby because we arrived before 3pm check-in time. Instead of processing our check-in as each party arrives, hotel staff made everyone wait till 3pm. When time comes, there was a crowd at check-in. Those who came earlier ended up behind the line. Due to how busy things went, hotel had difficulty attending to needs. I had separate bookings for my 2 night stay due to a change in my itinerary, and it held up my check-in process. I ended up with a room on the second floor, which was noisy and without a view. I ended up asking for a room change to an upper floor for my second night stay. The room is also a bit smaller than another hotel in Tokyo I stayed in. Hotel tried to automate check-in process and other services but ended up having to do most of it manually making it even more inefficient. Location was also inconvenient. While there are Roppongi and Roppongi-Itchome subway stations to access, they are both more than 10 minutes walk away. Also, these metro stations are not well connected requiring at least one change of line or more to get to most attractions. Hotel services and management is needlessly rigid with practices and policies. It lacked personalize service and does not meet guests who need flexibilities. I do not recommend this hotel for tourists.
