Wonderful cabin
Enjoyed our stay! Property was exactly as stated and extremely clean. My son and grandson were able to fish in the pond - my grandson (age11) caught his “biggest fish ever” and was so excited (of course, all fish were put back into the water). Fire pit was very nice (fire wood furnished) for roasting hot dogs and s’mores. Highly recommend, would visit again!

loved escaping summer heat
just a few things to consider: does not work well for a large-er group due to only 1 bathroom, 3-4 people should be fine; it's on the main road in the area and it may get somewhat busy - but you are further back, not really "on" the road, it's not really noisy unless 15 harleys ride by; no AC - and we did not need it in the middle of August, just manage the window shades when it's sunny; no cell phone service but the house has good wifi. For groceries, Ingles in Robbinsville is 30 min away, in Franklin - 45 min but stocked a bit better. Everything else is just great. You are on your own, you can see a large house further away, but that's it. Morning coffee on the porch with a mountain view, kitchen has what you need, lake & rafting are close (no beach on the lake though, bring your boat or rent one there), lots to do within 1.5 hours drive, if you have a dog she will love chasing frisbee on the humongous lawn, the fire pit is awesome in the evening, or you can watch netflix/play board games/hang out on a large covered porch if it rains. The host is great and available if you need smth. Loved our stay, want to come back.

Needed a weekend getaway and found this beautiful little cottage only 2 hours away. Had a wonderful stay with my dog. The property is beautiful and even nicer than the photos. The cottage was so comfortable and felt like home. Everything is clean and thoughtfully set up for guests. Everything you need is there. Really enjoyed taking photos and sitting by the river just across the road. Thank you for having me! Would love to return some time with my family.

Practically Perfect
We had a wonderful time. It was very easy preparing meals; the kitchen is well equipped. The home is super clean, bedroom and restroom well appointed. We took our toddler and felt very comfortable with him crawling and playing on the floor. Our dogs wore themselves out exploring the wooded hills. The fire-pit is perfectly situated for taking in the scenery. The only thing I wasn’t exactly thrilled about is that the property is located on Wayah Road, which I realized is the main road in the area. It’s wasn’t terrible busy this time of year, but you do have to cross it to go to the river.

Great location
I don't think the pictures do this property justice - the place was cleaner than anywhere else I have ever stayed. There was also a full kitchen with lots of equipment for cooking (we were there for Thanksgiving) including a crock pot. It was a very nice location within driving distance of a lot of hiking and there were stores near by. Its a great place to just get away and be in the mountains.

Perfect for a Wedding Weekend Away
This weekend, my wife and I stayed here to attend a wedding. The property is gorgeous and cabin were absolutely perfect for us. It was just us two, but there was plenty of room for at least another couple or a family to enjoy Topton and the surrounding areas. Martha was communicative and accommodating. Would definilty recommend this if it fits your needs!

Cutest cabin that was extremely clean! Has all the comforts of home. Sounds of the creek was so peaceful & the front porch is amazing. Highly recommend if you are looking to unwind. We will definitely visit again.

Great Getaway
This is a great property. Very comfortable house with an awesome yard. The front farmers porch is especially nice to hang out on. Lots of great stuff to do near the house. I chose it to ride the tail of the dragon and it was perfect.

Property in located on Wayah road, relatively close to Natahala activites and all the winding roads motorcycle and sports car enthusiasts enjoy. It's in a bit of a food desert though so make sure to do your grocery shopping before you arrive.

The view from the front porch was unbeatable. We enjoyed our coffee out there each morning and listened to the nearby stream. The restaurant by the lake was delicious, we highly recommend it! The nearby scenery is so beautiful and the house was clean and cozy, perfect for our little family.

Perfect Nantahala Getaway
This cabin was a perfect fit for my wife and I, 10 yr old daughter, and two German Shorthaired Pointers. So thankful for property owners like Martha who are pet friendly. The side yard is large enough for the dogs to get up some good speed and burn off their energy. It was especially fun on this trip because they did that in about 6 inches of snow. The cabin was clean and well appointed with all necessary kitchen appliances and accessories. We had everything we needed. We certainly intend to return in the near future.

Perfect Getaway
We were pleasantly surprised with everything we encountered at the cottage. The cottage was absolutely SPOTLESS with all the amenities you need. We have rented many homes in the past and this cottage was by far the best, we can not wait to go back! There were plenty of house hold items, the kitchen had everything you need to cook a meal and the garage was perfect for parking our motorcycle. Martha has definitely thought of everything to make our stay perfect. The views were breathtaking, and the yard was huge for many outdoor activities that we did. We even had the privilege of seeing 3 Bald Eagles fly over us and with the location being remote, the stars at night were breathtaking. Thank you, Martha for allowing us to rent your beautiful cottage. We can't wait to rent it again!!!
