Abi & Andy put a lot of time & effort into their B&B. Lots of lovely little touches, homemade biscuits in the room, fresh milk for tea& coffee very appreciated.
Clean, modern & spacious room.
Would definitely stay here again xx
Amy and Andy they was absolutely brilliant. They wait for us because journey take longer as we expected.
Amy show us our room and nothing was too much trouble, our son is quite tall for his 14 year so sofa bed was a bit too short but Andy quickly changed our son bed for z type.
We have dog with us too and Amy give us all important info about near park and dog friendly places, which was great.
Breakfast was really good, plenty of options too choose, if I can give one suggestion maybe instead of 1 croissant maybe 2 as they are quite small and more bake beans. Also in the basement it was quite cold serving breakfast maybe put the heater early before the breakfast is starting.
To conclude our stay ,it was very nice little b&b and we would definitely stay there again.
Good location, nice decor and everything that you need.
Parked on the street one road behind the place. Didn’t take long to find a space.
Nice cookies in the room and lovely breakfast room with lots of juices, cereals and fruit. Wasn’t expecting all of this, as we had ordered hot breakfasts too.
Me my fiancé and our 2 children had a wonderful stay here. The room was so spacious and clean. Hosts were super friendly and helpful! The breakfast was also amazing and plenty to pick from. We can’t wait to return.
From the minute we arrived to the minute we left the owners were warm, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The B&B is clean, well decorated and maintained. The breakfast is absolutely first class, as I was participating in the local Parkrun on the Saturday morning it meant I would miss breakfast so the owners made a bacon & egg sandwich for me and gave it to my wife for me.
We have not visited Torquay for nearly 20 years and was only down for a friends wedding, however we will be returning and staying at The Belmont in future. I happily recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay in Torquay.
Our third stay at the Belmont and loved it. Lovely owners, nothing too much trouble. Great for getting around. Can’t wait to stay again. This was my birthday treat and I got engaged. Surprised but very happy
My family and I spent a 2 night stay as part of our short trip to Torquay. Although the guest house is on the main road with most of the big hotels in Torquay it does have its own private small car park. The rooms are spacious with small children and comfy. The decor is modern, which is good. If you visit in the summer months the rooms can become very hot like ours, but the owners dig give us a fan. The breakfast is fine and nothing is to much trouble to be provided for you. Overall a pleasant short stay.

Needs a upgrade
Owner nice enough, would have been nice to have seen his partner. More selection for breakfast complete with a menu. Bathroom fan unbearable, shaving light did not work. Shower needs to be sliding rail not fixed head,( women like to shower without doing their hair ) . Only one bedside cabinet and table lamp. Top of wardrobe very dusty. View out of window was not great, parapet needs to be repainted. Tv far to small. Bit annoyed at first to find parking was limited as website states parking. Had to look for parking in street near by.
Positives: Very clean; modern decor; Jon and Shelly are extremely friendly hosts; well equiped room; excellent, perfectly cooked breakfast; convenient location.
Negatives: Parking can be a bit of a problem; we were unfortunate in staying on the hottest week of the year and were in a third floor room (no lift) that was uncomfortably hot, even with two fans; hot water was somehwat intermitent - one evening I returned and had to take a cold shower as no hot water was available and the same happened on another morning. At other times the water was, at best, warm - I should really have told the owners about this in case they were not aware, but (in our English way!) chose not to complain.
Shelley and Jon were awesome they r so friendly the day before we were due to come I got a phone call to go into hospital so I rang Shelley to c if we could change the date she was very help full it had to say why we wanted to change the date so when I told Shelley she was so helpfull she put us on the top floor relised I couldn't get up the stair so moved us to the bottom floor and up graded us the breakfast was first class and they r the nicest people u wish to meet I recommend everyone to stay there thanks again operation went well soon as we r able to come again we be there
The owner was loverly to speak to . But I'm very disappointed in the room . Reason being for one the room was way too small for a family of 3 . You couldn't swing a hamster in the bathroom . Also it was the very top floor . There was no air . Was like sleeping in a sauna , they did provide a fan . But no way near enough. Needs air con installed . My Mrs fell through the bed twice . cheap beds put together . But I will say the breakfast was brilliant and they were very helpful on knowledge of the area. I wouldn't stay at this guest house again . They need to improve the building -makeover but I know it's a serious cost to swallow. Parking was tight . I suggest driving a smart car to park not a saloon.
