Dancin' In The Moonlight is a part of Mountain Mist Cabins.

This dog-friendly, private 1-bedroom, with a loft, cabin is located less than 5 minutes off HWY 321 in Townsend, TN, also known as “The Peaceful Side of the Smokies.” Only 5 minutes (2.5 miles) from Tuckaleechee Caverns and 7 minutes (4 miles) from Cades Cove and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Perfect for two couples or a family, and bring along your furry family members!

Do not feed or interact with any wildlife, especially bears.
Make sure all trash outside is placed in the bear proof trash bins.
Never leave trash bags or food outside.

Towels and linens are provided, as well as soaps, shampoos, and even toothbrushes, are available if you forgot yours!

All persons booking MUST be 23 years of age. Please message us for exceptions.
Be sure to purchase your travel insurance!

Should you bring more guests than reflected by your reservation you may be asked to leave the property without a refund and/or pay an additional $25 per night per person.

Quiet Hours are from 10PM to 9AM

Do not leave any trash or food outside, it will attract bears.
You are in nature and there are bears and other wildlife in the area. If Bears get too accustomed to people, they are put down. If you feed the bears, you can kill the bears, please don't kill the bears.

As with most cabins in the area, all fireplaces are shut down April 1 - September 30.

We do not offer early check-in or late check-out. However, IF we are able to accommodate, there may be an additional charge.

Dog Policy - If you are bringing your furry friend(s), you must submit a message through the app to let us know what the age and breed of the dog is. We do not allow puppies less than 1 year old or certain breeds that are known to be destructive. All dogs MUST be house trained.
You will be responsible for any damages caused by your dog. Please use the designated outdoor area for your pets to do their business and utilize the provided waste station to clean up after them. Unless otherwise noted there is a $100 per stay charge, please select pets when making your reservation.

* Because we are dog-friendly, if you have any allergies pertaining to dogs, I recommend you do not stay at this property. While we do our best to thoroughly clean, we cannot guarantee that you may not have an allergic reaction from a previous guest’s dog(s). *

Perfect Cabin!
My husband and I stayed for our 13th wedding anniversary! It was perfection! The decor and setting was wonderful. It would also have space for two couples or a small family. We loved the arcade game too. The wrap around porch was perfect for drinking coffee and relaxing and we enjoyed the hot tub also! We will definitely be returning.

Perfect, Peaceful Getaway
My wife and I spent 4 days at the Dancing in the Moonlight cabin and absolutely loved it. In fact, we loved it so much we stayed a day longer than originally planned. It's located a couple of miles from the restaurants and shops in Townsend, TN. Though there are other cabins nearby, we felt all alone there amongst the trees in the peace and quiet. There is a huge deck, with hot tub we took full advantage of, it's a perfect place for your morning coffee or supper in the evening. As an author, it was lovely to sit and write outdoors as well. The beds are comfortable and the arcade is a lot of fun with a ton of old school games to play. We love Townsend too. There are several good places to eat and it's a short, beautiful drive through Wears Valley to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg if you're looking for a more active scene. If we're ever back in this area we hope to stay in one of the Mountain Mist cabins again. like we are all

This is the nicest, cleanest cabin I have ever rented. Any questions and Derek responds immediately. Would definitely rent from him again if in this area. If this cabin is too small for your group look up Mountain Mist Cabins as there are 5 in this area.

Gem in Townsend
We love this property and it is the second time we have stayed here. We love the layout of the cabin and the cleanliness. It is centrally located and close to Cades Cove ~ where we spend the most time. Communication is key and Derek has it tuned to a finely oiled machine. He checks in to make sure everything is to your satisfaction and provides comprehensive instructions for arrival/staying/leaving Dancin’ in the Moonlight. The beds are comfortable and the cabinets are well stocked. The gas fireplace provides ambiance and the internet and WIFI are amazingly fast. Cabin is in a nicely tucked in area of Townsend ~ which we prefer. We love the rustic feel and the hot tub and wrap around porch with chairs is a definite plus. We did not use the hot tub on this trip. Our dog loves it as well! Five Stars plus! Thank you Derek!

This was a great place to stay from start to finish. Easily accessible location along with wilderness vibes. Just the right size for our small family and a great place to take your dogs along. Property manager was available if needed (that didn’t end up happening) and send us all the information in a timely manner. We highly recommend our stay to others!

Perfect place for a getaway!
This was the perfect cabin for myself, husband and pup. It was very clean and we loved the location. Not too far from both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It was a nice quiet area but also very close to some local coffee shops, stores and beautiful mountain views. I definitely recommend staying here!

Cozy!
Tucked back into a cove of the property where there are other cabins to rent. Older, smaller cabin with the normal creaks but very cozy. Little smallish for four adults. Kitchen was tight but we spent most of our time in Townsend or in the park. Super convenient and close to good food and hiking. Snowed while we were there but got in a nice day up in the mountains. Recommended.
