Amazing hotel for before or after a cruise. Super convenient near train station and so much to see walking around, shopping food all the good stuff. I arrived at Hotel Continental after a ten cruise only to discover it was Closed for renovations. I had had the paid reservation for two months and was never notified that the hotel was closing. I’m sure they knew it would be closed and still accepted reservations. This caused a great deal of unnecessary anxiety for my partner and I. Luckily one of the workmen walked us to a different hotel close by.

This was an easy, elegant, and comfortable place to stay. The staff were great--pleasant and responsive. Everything was clean and worked well, our triple room was spacious and had character, and breakfast was especially nice. The location was excellent for both walking and for bus or taxi transportation. There was a day when the internet went down, but that seemed to be outside the hotel. I would happiliy stay here again.

I was going on the cruise ship and stayed one night. The location was super. I was at the Venice airport and took the FLIXBus to Trieste. The bus stop was only a 10-13 minute walk with my large luggage to the hotel. We walk to the cruise port was about 15 minutes walk. We were so lucky to find this perfect hotel. The front desk staff was pleasant and super nice.
