IMPRESSIVE PROPERTY
The house is a very impressive conversion of a barn and farmhouse. The height of the central area does mean that there is an inevitable lack of natural light at either end however. The kitchen, with lights on, is excellent and very well equipped but the TV area is rather gloomy, at least in September.
The plan of the house provided by Bruce clearly shows all the little flights of stairs but they do make getting around a bit complicated. For example, anyone using the third bedroom would have to come down a flight of stairs on a nocturnal visit to the bathroom!
Baby equipment is provided but parents of toddlers should be aware that potentially dangerous stairs and steps inside and out are unguarded.
Despite these reservations we very much enjoyed our stay. The glorious scenery is a plus-point as is the wealth of information supplied by Bruce both before and during the visit. If only more gite-owners did the same!
