Great stay in beautiful Porthtowan
Our family love staying in Porthtowan with it's amazing beach, great surf and friendly atmosphere. We've stayed in Towan Valley a number of times and this property is ideal for us. Short walk to the beach, clean, well equipped and with plenty of space for us and our two teenage boys.

Enjoyable break in Cornwall
The property is lovely - exactly as described. A few potholes in the shared access road need filling but that is being ultra picky. Would definately stay again and recommend

Very enjoyable stay in a lovely place
Very nice property in a great location. We particularly enjoyed the coastal walks as the weather wasn't ideal for the beach, although we did still manage a couple of days at the beach. The property was extremely comfortable to stay in, well equipped and for the most part very clean. As I'm very tall the king size bed was fantastic for me, like home from home. Lots of great communication from the owner and plenty of detailed instructions were provided for our stay. We hope to return in the future.

Porthtowan trip
Lovely holiday destination, accommodation had everything you need, walking distance to a couple of nice pubs, cafe and gorgeous beach. No phone signal in the bay but the lodge has good Wi-Fi and felt good having no coverage out and about

Fantastic stay
The house is modern, large and has home from home amenities. Decked areas to front and back and allocated parking space for property. Property was spotless on arrival and added bonus of tea, sugar, coffee and milk (phew as I forgot milk!) Added bonus of en-suite and downstairs cloakroom, especially as 3 teens in tow. The property is dog friendly. Wooden flooring and the policy of no dogs on furniture or upstairs meant that you would never tell that dogs are allowed in the premises.. like I have already mentioned, spotless. We were fortunate that our week stay was during the heat wave, fabulous to have such a large airy space to relax in. Only niggles and more of suggestions is that we brought 2 small dogs with us, the back patio area has a very miniature “gate” which meant we had to place one of our body boards against the gate to add height to prevent our dogs escaping. Larger dogs I would be wary unless on a leash at all times, which is not practical in the patio areas, could easily jump over the gate. The front decking has no gate and is open, therefore we had to be on our guard if the front doors were open, as our fur babies could escape from the house directly into the holiday park area/road. The property is semi detached which means the front decking is also adjoined with the neighbours, a suggestion would be a screen put in place for mutual privacy, as at present a bench separates the two. This didn’t fully fit the width of the decking which meant dogs can wander over into each other’s area if unattended (which happened) and also felt a little uncomfortable having conversations in front of your neighbours who you don’t know - these are only niggles and did not spoil the overall enjoyment of the holiday. Would have no hesitation in returning again.

Life’s a beach
My family and I really enjoyed our 2 week stay at the lodge. We parked our car for 2 weeks and spent most of our time on Porthtowan beach, surfing, doing crosswords, playing cards with our family and walking our dog. So nice to be able to walk to the beach without worrying about parking and our older sons rode their bikes to “The Track” in Redruth nearly every day. The lodge was very comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend staying here and would visit again soon. Stacy, Adrian & Family

Great choice for a family with a dog
We had a great time. Accommodation was great. Everything we needed. No issues apart from a random person in our allocated parking spot which wasn’t an issue as we parked elsewhere until resolved. The only thing to be aware of is that the accommodation is up a pretty steep hill - our calves got a good work out and it could be an issue if you struggle up hills. We’d love to stay again.

We had a wonderful break. The accommodation was extremely clean, very well furnished and tastefully decorated. It had everything we could need for a self catering break. The information supplied at the accommodation by the owner was very very useful and communication prior to and after arrival was excellent. Would be very happy to recommend the accommodation, the area and the owners. Thank you very much for another wonderful family to Cornwall.
