Stayed here for my sonā€™s freshman year move-in. The hotel was decorated with UofA colors and flags and everyone was all-in to help us parents with our extra luggage, huge boxes of dorm stuff, parking, directions, snacks and beer in the lobby! Such a friendly and welcoming vibe. Great cafe in the lobby for food and much-needed caffeine.

I was a bit disappointed with my stay at the Marriott. The building is nice, and the room is nice enough--big TV, nice fridge, coffee maker, small safe in the closet. No microwave. Clean. The shower leaked. I was under the impression that breakfast was included, but it wasn't; the breakfast buffet wasn't all that good anyhow. Most of the people at the front desk were nice. The hotel is on the corner of a wide street and a dirty, little alley. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. It really is in a good location. Most troublesome was the fact that I kept getting additional charges--$102 and $125--charged to my credit card although I had paid in full long before arrival. I tried calling billing, but contacting billing was impossible and a waste of time. I went down to the front desk and was assured that I would not have to pay these extra charges, but one of them is still pending. I shouldn't have to keep checking to see if I have been overcharged, and I shouldn't have to clean up water that has spilled from the shower. Again, those extra charges are unacceptable, even if they are pending and will soon disappear.

Fantastic hotel just down the road from U of A...
...amazing hotel within walking distance of the University of Arizona and various restaurants and bars. Very clean, the beds are nice, wifi is strong, hi-tech TV has access to internet sites like youtube, and there's a great gym on the 1st floor. The best employee there is Asher -- really nice dude who made our stay very comfortable. A++++
