Quaint
The casita was basic and adequate for the 4 nights that we stayed there. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The refrigerator was small and an older model, but it worked. There were ample dishes, but could use more silverware. No dishwasher, but that was OK for the two of us. It was disappointing to discover that the website listed the unit having 1 1/2 baths. There was no half bath.

very well maintained property in excellent location
this looks a garage conversion from the 1980-s or 90's. (receptacles for landline clips in several walls). There was no skimping on the towels or bed linens. The mattress was firm. Stacking washer/dryer very efficient. ample space in bathroom. Wifi connection sometimes temperamental.(go to headboard of bed to assure connection.) Unfortunately the weather was terrible and I caught covid. Given the ample space and privacy it was an excellent location to isolate. Too cold and rainy to try out the patio, which looked good. Shady location: probably comparatively cool in hot weather. Driveway a bit challenging, but not problematic. The couple in the larger unit were quite friendly. The microwave seems on its last legs. I don't watch TV so can't speak to it. Definitely recommend.

Pretty good
Property is tastefully done. Good location, pretty peaceful. We came in for Thanksgiving dinner with the kids as our house is being renovated. So this property is probably equipped for 2-3 people staying and eating out. IKEA plates are fine but it lacks utensils and simple cookware. This is not a complain but a simple suggestion to get simple set of forks, knives and spoons, and some cooked. Other awkward moment was when we had people staying at the main house threatening to call police as they didn’t know about us staying there. Moreover the guest manual “discourages communication with people at the main house”. In general, besides above, we enjoyed everything, very clean and well made.

Unwelcoming property management
Walked up to entrance covered in leaves from hailstorm 2 days earlier. All open shelves covered in dust, from eating bowls and drinking glasses to folded towels in bathroom. First thing we did was run laundry on bath towels and wipe everywhere. Told Brittiany who immediately blamed ME for requesting early checkin. All I did was ASK, to decide whether to book a round of golf to fill time. If she really had such high standards, why would she wait till last minute to "check", knowing full well cleaners needed after hailstorm? This house been for sale a while. Everything geared to showings rather than comfort of vacationers. This place has good bones: higher ceiling, colored concrete floor, big quality windows and doors, good plumbing. Things house buyers don't care: saggy mattress, cheap dresser inside closet with dusty old printer on top, shaky luggage rack. "Glasses" are 90% plastic, not even one real glass bigger than 1C, I drank out of glass vase. Slept on pull out couch, had to fold up every am and set bed every pm. I wouldn't complain had we paid half of what we paid, not even weekly rate discount for 2 weeks. Photos don't show new 6' brown wood fence around entire guesthouse that blocks long wall of windows. Not allowed to look through pool area to ravine. She also "encourage no communication with main house guests". This is a quarantine unit! Place will be cold in winter, no sun inside and none on patio by noon. Caution very high emf for those sensitive.

Fantastic hidden gem
This casita was perfect for our drive in drive/out weekend. The neighborhood is great, very safe and secluded. Easy to get to and close to the university as well. We spent the weekend here for parents weekend and it was a great way to avoid the hassle of the crowds and costs of hotels next to the UofA!

Host Did Not Follow Through
I had booked this property for a week. There is a heavy odor in this apartment that was triggering my asthma. I couldn't stay more than one night and let the host know right away. The host said that she would have the cleaning crew there ASAP to prepare the apartment for someone else to rent and I would receive a refund if it was rented out. I followed up with her after a couple of days because I noticed the apartment was not available to rent on the VRBO website. She assured me that she was going to take care of the issue. The apartment was never made available to rent and no offer of partial refund was offered.

Tucson Vacation
Lovely casita that was super clean and very comfortable. Pictures perfectly reflect the house. All the amenities that I could want or need were there. So close and convenient for hiking , many trail heads less than 30 min away. Neighborhood is quiet and secluded. I felt perfectly safe. House is also very private and quiet, no noise from neighbors. There is an owl that perched in the tree every night and flew off at sunrise. It was a delight for me. I would happily and readily stay here again.
