The resort was new & you can tell they weren't shy to splurge on a ton of aesthetic features! Going at the end of September/early October was great - low crowds & the weather was still warm enough. No severe weather happened during our stay neither. The staff was phenomenal & the food all over the hotel was 10/10. Definitely am planning on returning.

This recent weekend trip provided a wonderful experience at a beautiful hotel known for its modern and comfortable rooms, with various appealing amenities. The hotel offers a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal getaway for relaxation. However, there are opportunities for improvement in the hotel's three restaurants, particularly at Olio, which specializes in Mediterranean cuisine. The food was not good at all. You can tell we were being served frozen food in a few areas. We expected fresh food. The bars and the drinks were always very watered down. Beware of pushy salespeople upon checking in who try to whisk you away for a 90-minute trip to their sister's location. This was very irritating, as we were hungry and tired from our long trip. They wanted us to make a decision right there and then. This was not a pleasant check-in experience. The service in a handful of areas was prolonged. The hotel has nine pools and a well-regarded spa. The beach club is nice but they need more staff in the bar and lunch area. The hotel is in Aldea Zama, an area that allows for pleasant walking trips to nearby boutique coffee shops and local restaurants.

I liked the resort overall. Great entertainment, great staff, options for dinner could have been more. Pool options are limited r/t unless your VIP. The best part was def having the beach club apart of the resort. So free transportation to and from beach, along with access to great shopping, other site seeing, and restaurants.

The hotel itself is stunning – the aesthetics are a perfect 10/10. Every corner is picture-perfect, and the restaurant options are diverse and delicious. I especially enjoyed the coffee shop! The location is ideal, with plenty of nearby shopping, dining, and things to do. However, our stay had some significant downsides that impacted our experience. First Issue – The Shuttle Service: The free shuttle service to the beach club, while convenient in theory, was disappointing. The ride was extremely bumpy and uncomfortable, taking about 30 minutes each way. Once at the beach club, you’re essentially stuck until the next shuttle time unless you pay for a private taxi, which costs $35-40. This limitation wasn’t clearly communicated, as it’s advertised differently. Second Issue – Late Night Room Cleaning: On our first night, the room next to ours was cleaned at around 11:45 pm, with staff sweeping, talking, and using walkie-talkies, which was quite disruptive. I called the front desk, and they didn’t have much to offer other than saying they’d speak to the staff. This happened again at 5 am on our last day, which was very frustrating. Pros: • Great food and restaurant ambiance • Beautiful hotel aesthetics, perfect for photos Cons: • Inconsistent room service hours (different from the app’s information) • Restaurants occasionally open late, sometimes by 30 minutes to an hour • Uncomfortable and inconvenient shuttle service with limited hours and unclear communication

I recently stayed at this all-inclusive hotel in Tulum, and it was an incredibly disappointing experience. The staff were unprofessional and often vague, creating confusion about what services were actually included. We were given a voucher with promises that it could be used for ‘any type of service or a la carte dining,’ which turned out to be misleading and unhelpful. Despite what they charge, the hotel is far from the beach, and the shuttle service was uncomfortable and took way too long. If you’re looking for easy beach access, you’d be much better off staying at a resort closer to the shore. Room service was terrible, and the food quality left a lot to be desired. Additionally, the alcohol served felt diluted, like they were cutting corners on quality. Overall, this place is not worth the money. Avoid at all costs if you’re looking for an enjoyable, hassle-free Tulum experience

I had a very poor experience at Secrets Tulum Resort. The listing did not make it clear that by selecting a room with an ocean view that I would not be staying at the main resort, but rather a different location their Beach Club. When I arrived, I was given a sales pitch about something, I didn't fully understand what about. I was shown a map of locations in Central America and the Caribbean, I guess other locations owned by the same ownership group. I wasn't sure what exactly, I turned down whatever it was. Then I was told to get into a shuttle that was taking me to the Beach Club, which I didn't fully understand at this point so I was a bit on edge. I arrive at the location and get checked into my room. I did not check in super later and wasn't given a lay of the land by the staff. I bring this up because as I saw later in the week, as other guests were checked in they were given tours of the facility and explained how things worked. I had to learn a lot of stuff about the hotel on my own. They had an app they wanted you to download which was unstable. It would crash constantly and I needed to load it about 10 times on average. The intrusive add on pop ups always seemed to work. Around the middle of my trip, my door had an issue where it would not open. Luckily there was a side door that worked but it wouldn't lock leaving my room wide open. The staff gave me no updates on the progress of this and other issues that came up. Management at the Beach Club was terrible.
