About this property

Camping with a Twist of Individuality. Pet and Kid Friendly with games galore

While camping at Winedrops Creekside Camping. One will enjoy the lazy days of summer while swinging in a hammock or sitting quietly by the creek roasting marshmallows in the fire pit or making smores and hearing the babbling brook. Do you know why a creek is called a babbling brook? Or why Ghost tales are told around a campfire? or why a cowboy sings about cows, lost loves, and trains? These are all part of what camping will be at Winedrops Creekside Camping. Music, ghost tales, and snipe hunting. There are lots to do and lots to see while staying in Turtletown. By the way, what is snipe hunting? Has anyone ever been snipe hunting? Well, that may just be on a schedule of Activities if you book a night or two at Winedrops Creekside Camping. We are made for the old and young alike.

Coffee anyone? We have three sources of making coffee. A French coffee press with Swisher for cream, a stove-top cappuccino maker with flavored creamer, and a stove-top coffee pot. Made the old-fashioned way, then, we have a coffee pot that can be used over a campfire and cooked like the cowboys did.

There are battery-powered lights, rechargeable lights, kerosene lamps, flashlights, tiki torch lights, solar lights, string solar lights, and walkway solar lights to light the path to the tent. There are battery-powered fans, clocks, and radios in addition there is a sun shower that gets very hot if left in the sun all day. The camp loo is great for on-the-go bathroom visits. Just tie up the blue compost bag after each fourth visit. Easy peasy. No gain, no pain, no smell.

The Serta therapeutic bed is soft and comfortable. After a day of rafting, horseback riding, tubing, zip lining, or hiking, or even a game of volleyball or badminton one will be ready for a night of rest in our queen-size bed. The sound of the creek will put one to sleep in no time.

Upon rising one may smell coffee perking by nearby campers. With the smell of bacon and sausage frying up in a skillet. The grits, eggs, and biscuits are all ready for a hearty breakfast. At Winedrops Creekside Camping we furnish all the breakfast items one needs for two days. We may even cook breakfast if the guests will allow us to cook for them. Have you ever eaten biscuits cooked over a campfire? Or tasted grits that have been cooked on a grill or smelled hot tasty coffee cooked over a hot bed of coals. These are all that one will experience while camping at Winedrops Creekside Camping if you so desire. But the best thing is cooking the meal yourself and then going for a leisurely morning walk over the 15 acres up the hills and valleys in the woods and on the road and back again. Ready for a day of sun, water, fishing, horseback riding, wine-tasting ventures, and pub hopping enjoying the breweries in Copperhill and Ducktown.

Don't forget the River Valley Cherokee Casino in Murphy NC. That is where all the fun and excitement will end after a day of venture in our twin cities. The casino will provide a night of entertainment, fun, relaxation, and a hand of skill at blackjack. A chauffeur will take you and stay till you are ready to come home to your soft comfortable bed while the children enjoy a game of Monopoly, smores, popcorn by the campfire and old maid card game. ANSWERS to Questions…….A babbling brook is called so because of the sound it makes as the water flows over rocks and pebbles, creating a soothing and gentle babbling noise. It’s really called a babbling brook because it sounds like women chattering. Ghost tales are often told around a campfire because of the eerie atmosphere created by the flickering flames and the darkness of the night. It adds an element of mystery and spookiness to the storytelling experience. Cowboys traditionally sing about cows, lost loves, and trains because these topics are often central to their way of life. Cows represent their livelihood, lost loves evoke emotions and nostalgia, and trains are a common mode of transportation in the wild west.Snipe hunting is a practical joke that involves sending someone on a wild goose chase to catch a nonexistent bird called a snipe. It's a playful and harmless prank that is often played on newcomers or unsuspecting individuals in camping settings. Winedrops Creekside Camping seems like a perfect place to enjoy nature, relax, and engage in various outdoor activities. From the peaceful sounds of the creek to the delicious campfire-cooked meals, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
