Great location. Fully outfitted. The deck and yard need work. The bushes are not maintained and the deck was very dirty when we got there. Bluefish cleaned it but it should be power washed. The gutters were dripping on the deck stairs the whole time even though it only rained the first

Spacious and comfy
This property accommodated our two families for a birthday celebration weekend in December very well. There is a lot of room to spread out and the kitchen is well appointed with nice decorating. I would say the two things that could improve are the low ceiling upstairs over the stairs, where several of our group bumped their heads going down, and the upstairs shower was very small and smelled of sewer gas. Otherwise, the second floor was a nice spot fo r teens to have their own space. All in all, very comfy and well located!

Great place for large groups
Pros: Bluefish staff was professional and quick to respond to an issue we had. House was clean as can be and the kitchen was stocked with everything with the exception of an ice cream scoop. Great place for large groups with plenty of places to hangout. Cons: Upstairs has a steep staircase which is dangerous for real young toddlers. We are also a tall family and there are two spots where you bump your head (staircase and upstairs bathroom).

Family Retreat
This was a cozy, restful, house for our first family retreat. The great room was a wonderful gathering place for cocktails, conversation and food. There was plenty of space for everyone. There was enough room for everyone to spread out. We had a very relaxing time and truly enjoyed the home. The deck and screened in porch was wonderful for family entertaining and conversation. We made good use of the grill (after we cleaned it) and found the kitchen more than adequate for cooking meals.

Had a really good time
The house is in a great location and it is a deceptively big home like others have posted. The home has all the necessary kitchen items although the coffee maker was broken. It was super easy to get coffee in town. Easy walk to two different beaches. Overall, we had a really good time!

Great house- great location!!
Great house! Very family and pet friendly with lots of room and close to the beach! The only thing missing was a place to wash off sand outside. With 12 people tracking in sand from the beach- it was a lot of work to keep it out of the house and out of the drains.

Great Spring Getaway
The house was great. We traveled with my sister and her family. It has an open feel and plenty of room for small groups to hang out and be together without being on top of each other. The beach was within walking distance and we were close to a bakery and many restaurants. We did road trips to St. Joe, New Buffalo and the Warren Dunes. Everything was close to the house. Excellent wi-fi and plenty of tv’s. My only complaint was one of the upstairs smaller bedrooms had a furnace in the closet and when it turned on it was very loud and at times hard to sleep through. Other than that the house was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked and the fenced in yard was a plus for our dog! We had a great trip and would definitely stay here again.

Nice Getaway
We selected this property because it allowed us to travel with our dog, and because it had a wood burning fireplace. It’s located within walking distance to the beach and a boutique grocery/wine store. Please note, this is not a direct VRBO rental. You will be redirected to a managing third party and need to read, sign, and initial multiple pages of PDF documents. The process takes over an hour. I imagine they have had prior poor guest experiences, which is unfortunate. Also, despite the photos of a large pile of firewood (which I assumed would be available for purchase), there was no firewood on site. We ventured out to after arrival to purchase wood, which took a bit longer than expected. The fireplace is fantastic so plan to bring your own wood and starting supplies. The kitchen is great. The home offers multiple quiet zones and private bedrooms. This would be a perfect house for a family or up to three couples. I’m grateful to the owners who elect to share their home with others.

Great stay! Met expectations.
Cozy winter get away with a fire place we kept going every night. Kitchen was very well equipped for those of us who like to cook. Nice matching dishes, glassware for all of our needs and loads of pots and pans. Location is so easy. You can walk to a very well stocked market, coffee shop and bakery. A few minute stroll to beach too. The upstairs area was perfect for the kids who loved to play up there and engouh separation for early bedtimes for them.

Snowy Getaway in Union Pier!
Our family of five spent a snowy holiday weekend in Union Pier. This house was perfect for us. The kids each had a bedroom upstairs, and used the upstairs den as a game room to play cards. The main room downstairs kept us all cozy and warm during the days - with a roaring fire and movie marathons as well as an epic game of monopoly. While this property is a great location in the summer, with proximity to beach access, it's easy drive from Red Arrow Highway made it accessible in the midst of a major snow storm - and the size of the lot made us feel like we were far from the city and nestled in the woods as the snow fell around us. The kitchen was great for cooking all meals - with an eat-in breakfast island to switch up from the formal dining area in the living room.
