Everywhere you are on this beautiful island you can see the water and the large pine trees. The vintage cottage has two bedrooms (queen beds in each) on the main floor along with a kitchen, dining room and sitting area. There is fireplace that heats up the cottage, if needed. Upstairs is very spacious with a queen bed and a single bed. Big windows open up to a beautiful view of the lake and the land.
The dining room can sit 6 comfortably with chairs added if need be. The screened-in porch has a table that sits 4 with another seating area. An extension can be added to the table to seat more people.
There is another deck on the other side of the cottage with an outdoor table and chairs that seat 6. There is another table bedside the deck that seats 4. Lots of room for outdoor feasts!
There are two fire pits – one near the cottage and one near the deck and dock that sits beside the lake close to the ‘muskoka like’ rock. Another stunning spot to sit. Please note – fires can only be started when there is no wind.
This is also a sweet brand new Bunkie that everyone loves! It is south-facing. There is a queen bed in the loft and two single beds on the main floor. Great place to play games too!
The cottage has a compost toilet. There is also an outhouse if that is your preference.
There is a metal canoe and two stand-up paddleboards for your use along with outdoor and indoor games.
Power from the cottage comes from solar panels (it’s ‘off grid’) so there is limited ability to charge phones and computers. If used thoughtfully, it isn’t an issue. There is a generator if power is lost from the solar system.
There is one other cottage at the other end of the island that you can’t see. The property line is clearly delineated.
