Imagine spending your vacation in this light filled, luxurious apartment just steps away from the center of Uzès. L'ancienne Brasserie, or old brewery buildings, have been converted into beautiful apartments in a quiet, gated community which includes tennis courts, a lovely swimming pool and private parking.
L'Ancienne Brasserie has been completely updated and decorated to provide spacious, comfortable areas for lounging, dining, cooking, as well as 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms have 160cm (queen) beds, and one has a 140cm (double) bed. The main floor has an open plan with seating area, dining table and kitchen, plus French doors that open on to a private patio. The patio has an outdoor seating area plus a table and chairs for relaxing and dining outside. The kitchen has all new appliances, as well as utensils, dinnerware, glasses and cutlery. In other words, all the essentials for creating fabulous meals after shopping at the market in Uzès. There is a toilet as well as a shower room on the main floor.
Elegant marble stairs lead to the second floor, where you will find the bedrooms and a large bathroom with tub/shower and double lavatories. There is also a separate toilet.
The pool and lounge area is a short 20 meters from the apartment (open from June 1st to September 30th. The tennis courts are adjacent to the pool. This exceptional property has been designed for year-round enjoyment. There are heated floors for winter comfort and lots of windows for fresh breezes in the summer. Uzès is one of the prettiest Provençal villages in the south of France. It is known for the Saturday market, as well as lively cafés and shopping. All of this is a quick 5 minute walk from where you will be staying. So, after a day at the market or evening drinks in a café, you can return to the quiet and calm of your comfortable home away from home and the perfect place for your vacation!

Great accommodation in great location
Loved it! We travelled with another couple and completely loved the accommodation. Clean with all the necessary facilities. The accommodation had ample room and the terrace with a BBQ was great in the evenings. Easy walk to the centre of old Uzès and short drives to explore areas of Provence. Definitely would stay here again.

A real gem

Our 4 weeks at L’Ancienne Brasserie
We loved our stay in this delightful, well-appointed, comfortable home. The kitchen, dining, living area was spacious and well-kitted out with everything we needed to make us feel right at home. The three bedrooms upstairs are adorable and very comfortable. The location was perfect for us! We truly enjoyed walking into the center of Uzes directly from the house to shop, explore, dine and sight-see. Thanks to Dominique who greeted us warmly and helped us settle in on the first day.

GREAT PLACE + GREAT LOCATION
Dominique's place was terrific. The townhouse is very spacious, clean and lovely. The bedrooms were comfortable and the area very quiet. There were only three of us but this place can comfortably accommodate six people. The weather was a bit chilly when we were there so we weren't able to take advantage of the lovely patio, shared outdoor pool or BBQ but it's all there for when the weather is warm. The location is excellent. Only a 5 minute walk in to the center of Uzes with it's wonderful Saturday market, terrific restaurants and lovely shops. The secure, private parking space was a real bonus since we used Uzes as our home base to visit the neighboring historic sites and wineries. I highly recommend this place.

A roomy, quiet, well appointed apartment a short walk from Uzes town center. Being a short walk from town centre allowed everybody in our party (including the drivers) to have a drink with their evening meal, very civilised. The one downside of the apartment is a lack of air conditioning which in August made the property very warm at times.

Ease and beauty in uzes
The property is great. Loads of space for the whole family. A short walk into town to enjoy all the yummy local food. It feels safe, secure and set up for you to unwind and relax. Also close to lots of activities for the whole family. Kayaking down the Gardon, visiting caves or Roman ruins - it’s all there. It is a bit tricky finding the property to start with and navigating the one way system in Uzes - but we worked it out!

Bliss in Uzès
We came to Uzès almost by accident last year and absolutely loved the place, a feeling that was only enhanced by our return. This property couldn’t be any better located, the pleasant gated community is quiet with allocated parking and less than 10minutes walk from the restaurants of the central square and the beautiful chaos of the Saturday market, it was still possible to get in and out without hitting the traffic on the central ring road. We were worried by the absence of air conditioning, but even at 32c outside in June, the high ceilings, thick walls & shutters kept the place remarkably cool in the day & at night the pull down mosquito shutter allowed windows to be left wide open. We didn’t use the numerous fans, although I suspect in July or August (when temperatures around 40c aren’t that unusual) they would be vital. Spotlessly clean, bedding, furnishings & linen were remarkably comfortable & in great condition while the kitchen was well appointed set in the appealing open plan dining/lounge area. Good bathroom upstairs with a lovely bath and rainfall shower. Toilets are slightly less perfect, there are two, neither is in a bathroom, neither has a hand basin in the room either (downstairs there is a hand basin outside of the toilet), upstairs you are dependent on there being nobody in the bath or shower next door to use the sink or head down stairs. Even with just two of us, myself & my mother, we found the upstairs arrangements a little awkward in the morning or evening. We didn’t feel the need to use the more basic shower in the living area down stairs, but it would be very useful to larger parties. There are some board games & even a tiny DVD player, but no television in the accomodation, but with tablets & laptops that will be less of an issue for most than it would have been years ago, the Wi-fi was excellent throughout the property. The slightly steep marble staircase might not be to everyone’s liking, while it is beautiful & cool, it isn’t very child friendly. The patio got some sun for most of the day, is comfortable, quite private & twenty steps or so from the attractive looking communal pool, which unfortunately was only just about ready to open when we left. Instead we swum in the Gardon at Collias & in the Mediterranean at La Grande-Motte, instead! Dominique is a friendly host, who dealt with all issues promptly, we only wish we could have arrived a week later or stayed a week longer to enjoy the pool!

A very pleasant stay...I could not rate r the check-in process as we had major flight/travel problems and did not get to the apartment until 8 PM on our arrival day, so we were not able to meet Dominique . (To submit this review, I had to choose a rating so I just choose the lowest one and then tried to explain the situation in this summary! However, she was very helpful during our stay whenever we had a question or request and we did meet her when we had our check-out. The only little quirk is the one bathroom/toilet upstairs for the three bedrooms. When we had friends staying with us, we juggled the bathroom times. But, with good friends, it hardly mattered. I would definitely stay there again as the apartment itself and the location are both very nice.

Peaceful, Safe, great location to explore Uzes
We stayed at L'Accienne Brasserie the first two weeks of August, our party was 4 adults and one child aged 8. The weather was perfect - 30+ degrees every day, so we visited the pool regularly (which is literally the gate opposite to the gate to the terrace). It was never busy, some days we had it to ourselves even. There are sunloungers provided too by the owner to laze by the pool, and enjoy the peace and quiet. The house is not only beautifully decorated but well equipped. No expense has been spared to make this a lovely place to holiday. The bed linen and towels were excellent quality. When it got too hot to cook inside, we cooked on the huge gas BBQ outside, which was fantastic. Uzes is a short, stroll through shaded streets. There seemed to be an event in Uzes every day, the day markets are very busy but great for fresh produce, and the night market was great for gifts. We visited Nimes, Pont du Gard and Arles, and enjoyed them all for different reasons. Be aware that if you go anywhere in august the traffic near the larger towns is pretty bad, but worth it! We took the advice in the information folder and avoided the Haribo Museum, just went straight to the Boutique, we queued for about 20 minutes but worth it for my 8 year old, wall to wall tubs of sweets! the Intermarche supermarket at Montaren is 5/10 mins drive. Dominique was very friendly & helpful for the entire stay, and came back to us quickly with any queries. This place is perfect for anyone who wants a bit of luxury in the sun where you feel safe and can walk easily into Uzes. We loved sitting on the terrace in the evening with a glass of wine, playing pictionary and star gazing. Thank you for a lovely holiday, we didn't want to leave and we will be back!

My wife and I stayed at L"Ancienne Brasserie for a week this May. We found the apartment spacious, comfortable, light and airy and extremely clean. The location is ideal--only an eight minute walk from the heart of Uzes, the Place aux Herbes, yet quiet and peaceful. Dominque and her husband, Christophe, were professional, warm and helpful hosts. They provided us with a detailed and comprehensive booklet listing not only instructions on how to use appliances, etc. but also tips on restaurants and other services. Christophe even met us at the apartment when we arrived and patiently explained how appliances worked, etc. We would absolutely stay at L"Ancienne Brasserie again. In fact, we plan to! A terrific, restful vacation in a charming house..

Tout était parfait, l'acceuil, l'appartement, la propriété. Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine entre ballade à vélo, randonnée et kayak. Uzès et la région regorgent d'endroits à découvrir et de sentiers à parcourir. Une mention particulière au barbecue plancha sur lequel j'ai grillé des poivrons rouges savoureux et des oignons, arosés d'une huile d'olive locale achetée au marché d'Uzès. Divin Après de longues réflexions, j'ai finalement trouvé un point à améliorer. Si, si. La piscine commune, bien que nettoyée et opérationnelle, n'était pas encore ouverte à la baignade. L'ouverture est fin mai. Dommage.

Localisation et prestations au top
Tout proche du centre ville de Uzès, à 10 mn tout au plus à pieds. Grande pièce à vivre avec du cachet, 3 chambres dont une plus petite, mais suffisante pour une personne. Deux salles de bain dont une petite également mais appréciable quand on est 5 personnes. Cuisine toute équipée, on ne manque de rien. La piscine est toute proche. Même si elle est commune aux autres logements, nous nous y sommes souvent retrouvés seuls pour une partie de notre temps de baignade, même au mois d’Août. Les transats à l’ombre des arbres sont très agréables. La terrasse est un véritable plus lorsqu’il fait beau, bien équipée avec salon de jardin, plancha et store rétractable. Il faut cependant savoir que la terrasse jouxte celle des voisins. Même s’ils sont discrets, l’intimité n’est pas totalement préservée.
