LAST MINUTE September!!! The villa, exceptional for a relaxing holiday, is located in the center of a botanic garden, full of greenery and secular plants, extending over 10,000 sqm. It is less than 1 km from the sea (small pebble beaches and cliffs) or the beaches of Trapani or Cornino 15 minutes drive and San Vito Lo Capo, 25 minutes. The Villa is air conditioned, has an entrance, large kitchen with exceptional period furniture, large dining room for 9 people, 2 large living rooms, one with a belvedere veranda, 4 bedrooms with double bed (2 with ensuite bathroom and 2 with shared bathroom), and a bedroom with a single bed and private bathroom, plus 2 bathrooms serving the living area.
The immense outdoor spaces allow you to enjoy the summer vacation in full relaxation. It is equipped with a private swimming pool (active from April to October) and barbecue area. The kitchen is fully furnished and equipped. The villa is part of a complex in which there is a second villa, totally separate and independent, with which it is partially shared the use of the park (the pool and the barbecue area are not shared). It is located in a strategic area to easily reach the sea, natural parks such as Zingaro, the Egadi, and places of great artistic and historical interest such as Segesta, Erice, Marsala, Selinunte, Palermo, Monreale, Trapani, Mothia, San Vito Cape, Scopello, Castellamare del Golfo ... and more. There is a video surveillance system for security purposes which covers the accesses to the park area.

Short Break with Friends
We just had an amazing 5 days at Villa Fontana. The history of the property is one of the things that make it so special. Your mind wanders to the time when it was the the only structure on the hillside. The location is great for exploring the region. Short trips to Erice, San Vito Lo Capo, Egadi Islands and Trapani. Cristina and Francesca our hostesses, whose family have owned the villa for generations, were attentive and available. At our request. they arranged a cooking class and a boat trip around the Egadi Islands. And even brought over a bag of ice after we missed the stores. The Villa comes equipped with a storage facility in the basement with a gorgeous selection of wines, beers, and other staples, olive oil etc. You can buy as you wish. That was a real bonus, as there was one less shopping trip to make. The villa was spacious and old kitchen fully equipped for cooking. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Amazing home on a spectacular property. Everything was clean, beautiful and as advertised. The property had a great swimming pool and balcony to watch the sunset. The rooms were all large and very clean with excellent AC during the summer months. Nothing short of amazing
The castle was everything and more than described. The host was amazing in communication, even before the trip, asking if we had any questions or would like her to set up some tours. We set up a personal chef to come cook and teach us how to make pasta one night, it was amazing! They have a room with conveniences to purchase if you forgot something, at very reasonable prices as well as drinks and food. The garden was so large and amazing to walk thru, you can tell the care they take to maintain the property. They will tell you the history of the home, gardens if asked. They had no one after us so they offered to let us check out late if we wanted, we would have but we had an early flight :( The town Valderice, had great bakeries, restaurants as well. I can not say enough, except we will be back!

Family trip to Sicily
This was a delightful place to stay. We were so happy that we selected this listing. Property manager could not have been better…she communicated punctually and clearly at every step…from pre-visit help with reservations as well as tour, beach and restaurant suggestions…and even after check out with finding my missing phone within 10 minutes of departure! The property is charming and very spacious. We had 2 couples, a nanny, another adult and a:20 month old and never felt cramped. The grounds are very private, picturesque and well tended. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool as well!

A Wonderful Two Week Vacation
The property is exactly as stated in the description. The house is comfortable and we’ll equipped. It’s obvious that the owners have a great pride in the manor that’s been owned by their family for generations. The greatest asset of the rental are the two sisters who couldn’t have been more accommodating. Francesca is a wonderful hostess who responded quickly to our every inquiry, recommended places to destinations, restaurants, etc. Her sister Christina was also very helpful in making our holiday a success. Thank you ladies for all you did.

Gorgeous holiday in the Sicilian Sun
Our host Francesca has been incredible, nothing was too much for her and I cannot recommend her and her beautiful property enough! Francesca worked really hard to make sure we had a fantastic week, organising our trips and restaurants, she was amazing. The house is beautiful, really spacious with many varied inside and outside areas. It is truly a grand old house, steeped in history. The pool area was fantastic and we also loved the outside terraces and barbecue area.I cannot fault it at all and am delighted to give this review to encourage other people to book this amazing villa. Charming Villa - ideal for friends and family holidays
We all loved staying at the Dimora Storica — the villa is incredibly charming and is very comfortable for large-ish groups of family and friends that still may like some privacy. The hosts, Francesca and Cristina, were kind and very flexible and understanding regarding checking in and out and they also provided some really helpful tips along the way.

Wonderful Stay!
This is a gorgeous property, and very spacious for our group of 4 couples. The grounds are like something out of a movie! Francesca, the owner, was extremely responsive to any questions before the trip and always available via text while we were there, but never intrusive. She even dropped off some delicious gelato treats while we were there, and has wine available to purchase, which was a bonus for us the night we arrived! You need a car at this location to visit the many nearby towns. We day-tripped to Marsala, Trapani, Palermo, Monreale, San Vito Lo Capo, Erice, and Segesta. I would highly recommend this beautiful villa for a great visit to Sicily!

Stunning views toward the sea and mountains from this extraordinary historic villa. Many charming features, very comfortable for our family of seven with room to spare. Very clean with comfortable beds and an extremely well appointed kitchen. Many thanks to Francesca and Christina for their generous hospitality. Easy to contact, always responsive and very welcoming, they greeted us with a lovely bottle of wine and delicious tray of pastries, gave a very thorough tour of the impressive property, explained how to operate everything and also took the time to make suggestions about area markets, restaurants and sights that made our stay so memorable. We enjoyed every minute. The pool was a real family favorite with both an adult area and a children’s pool. Lovely sunrises greeted us in the morning and twinkling lights of nearby towns were magical at night. Easy to get to Erice, Trapani, the Salt Flats, Segesta and all the beautiful towns in this region. Would be more than happy to revisit.

This place is magical. Anyone that finds it has discovered something special.
Out of 5 stars, Villa Fontana is a 100. The hospitality from Francesca and Christina is like a 5 star hotel, from helping with sightseeing recommendations to private chefs to taxi services to a vet! Nothing is too small or too large and they’re the friendliest people in Sicily, an island of very friendly people. The property itself can’t be captured in photos. It’s a castle that overlooks the sea with a vignette of mountains. The water changes color everyday from blue to green to silver, depending on the clouds and time of day. The gardens make you feel like you’re in an old Sicilian film, meticulously cared for almost daily by a friendly staff. In terms of location, let me just say, I spent a month at Villa Fontana (I just left this morning) and still couldn’t do everything available within an hour’s drive, from Erice to Marsala to Selinunte and Segesta, San Vito Lo Capo, Castellamare del Golfo; each a different experience from beaches to wineries to antiquity. I made a bold decision to move to Sicily for a month and invite friends and family throughout that time. I thought Villa Fontana looked great on VRBO, I had no idea how lucky I was to have chosen it. Antica ed affascinante dimora siciliana, con inclusi elementi di fascino unico (parte di una antica torre di avvistamento), ampi spazi con arredamento d’epoca. Giardino -meglio dire parco- curatissimo e pulito. Piscina con vista mozzafiato. Se ciò non fosse sufficiente, a tutto questo incanto, si aggiunge una accoglienza e disponibilità delle proprietarie che va ben oltre la “cortesia e solerzia”. Sempre discrete ma disponibili anche per le più piccole cose, accolgono gli ospiti nella loro splendida villa come perfette padrone di casa, facendoci sentire benvenuti, desiderati e benvoluti. La “coccola” finale dell’omaggio dell’olio di produzione propria è stata graditissima. Semplicemente perfette! Grazie di cuore, augurandomi di incontrarvi presto!

A beautiful little castle
Our stay with extended family was excellent. Four very nice bedrooms ( we didn’t use the 5th one) a kitchen, a living room, a dining room and a terrace with a view makes it a very spacious house. The garden including the swimming pool was very nice as well. A small drive to the beach or other nearby sites. In short a very very good holiday destination.

Great stay
As a family of 6 people, we spent 4 nights in the house. It was a great experience! The place is very unique, the view is beautiful, the location is easy easy to access thanks to the highway, great to visit Erice, San Vito lo Capo or Zingaro and the hosts were very nice.
