Our apartment is very large, with six beds, but it also has a sofa bedding in the living room so you can sleep eight very comfortably. A single dedicated parking space directly next to the private courtyard and entrance. Plenty of additional parking nearby on our quiet road. Pets welcome.
The house has had notable owners and visitors over the past 170 years. Queen Victoria is rumoured to have stayed there, and in 1879 Cornelius Nicholson, a “self-made man”, owned the property. Cornelius was the managing director of the East Indian Railway and was friends with Charles Dickens, Wordsworth and Count Strogonoff. His daughter wrote a book called “A life well-spent” beautifully written the book which recites attention-grabbing anecdotes of Cornelius’s life. We are offering the ground floor of this period home.
